How are China tourists in Switzerland now?

Switzerland is a very beautiful European country, where you can find your own inspiration and the rhythm of rural life. You will face exotic customs and distinctive cultural characteristics. At present, during the new pneumonia epidemic, China tourists have not been banned in Switzerland, and everyone can still travel here. So what should China tourists stranded in Switzerland do and how can they return to China?

On February 4, 2020, the Swiss National Tourism Administration issued a letter to colleagues in the tourism industry and tourists from China, in which it was mentioned that "the Swiss tourism industry, together with relevant Swiss departments and associations, is making every effort to reduce the burden on China's tourism partners and tourists from all over China" and "Switzerland has no entry and travel restrictions on China guests". The details of this letter are as follows ↓

Dear colleagues in the tourism industry, dear tourists from China,

The Swiss National Tourism Administration was shocked and saddened by the huge impact of the novel coronavirus epidemic. Together with other countries in the world, we hope to completely eliminate the epidemic as soon as possible and overcome difficulties. Switzerland fully abides by the powerful measures taken by the World Health Organization, especially the relevant departments in China. Swiss tourism, together with relevant Swiss departments and associations, is making every effort to reduce the burden on China's tourism partners and tourists from all over China.

The Swiss National Tourism Administration and the Swiss Hotel and Catering Association called on Swiss tourism service providers to provide maximum understanding and support for the cancellation of reservations caused by the pneumonia epidemic in China.

The epidemic affects people's hearts. We update the tourist information and warm tips, hoping to help you travel in Switzerland.

In response to the novel coronavirus epidemic, Switzerland introduced new measures to extend visas.

The Schengen visa will expire on or after the scheduled flight cancellation date.

Visitors who meet the above three conditions at the same time can apply to the current state immigration bureau.

Non-Schengen residents can apply for a visa valid for 180 days and actually staying for no more than 90 days. The specific extension period is held by the state immigration offices.

Application materials to be submitted:

1. A valid passport (valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure of the original return flight) and the corresponding Schengen visa;

2. Travel health insurance covering the whole stay as much as possible;

3. There is no proof of return flight (such as communication records with travel agencies or airlines).
