Basic introduction to Etang Town

Etang Town is located in the southern suburbs of Hezhou City and is home to the Zhuang, Han and Yao ethnic groups. Among them, there are more than 3,000 Yao ethnic groups distributed in three administrative villages: Daming, Mingmei and Caodi. The town covers an area of ??189 square kilometers and governs 17 administrative villages. The total population at the end of 2004 was more than 50,000. Etang Town has superior natural conditions and is rich in high-quality rice, water chestnuts, lotus roots, ginger, green plums and other agricultural products. Urban construction, transportation and tourism have developed steadily. Ziyun Scenic Area has been developed into one of the key scenic spots in Hezhou City.
