The main responsibilities of Xi’an Tourism Bureau

(1) Implement laws, regulations, guidelines and policies related to tourism, draft local laws and regulations on tourism in this city, and organize their implementation.

(2) Coordinate the development of the city's tourism industry, formulate market development plans for the city's domestic tourism, inbound tourism and outbound tourism and organize their implementation; organize external publicity and major promotion activities for the city's overall tourism image.

(3) Organize the census, planning, development and related protection work of the city’s tourism resources. Guide the planning and development of key tourist areas, tourist destinations and tourist routes, and guide leisure vacations; monitor the operation of the tourism economy and be responsible for the release of tourism statistics and industry information; coordinate and guide holiday tourism and red tourism.

(4) Responsible for regulating the city’s tourism market order, supervising and managing service quality, and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of tourism consumers and operators; regulating the business and service behaviors of tourism enterprises and practitioners in the city; organizing and implementing tourism service standards for districts, tourism facilities, tourism services, tourism products, etc.; responsible for the comprehensive coordination, supervision and management of tourism safety in the city, organizing and implementing tourism emergency rescue work; guiding the construction of spiritual civilization and integrity system in the city's tourism industry; guiding industry organizations business work.

(5) Responsible for the preliminary review, management and annual inspection of domestic travel agencies in Xi'an.

(6) Organize and implement the tourism talent training plan and professional and technical position standards, and work with relevant departments to formulate the city's tourism talent plan and standards; be responsible for the relevant professional qualifications, grades, and ability examinations and assessments of tourism employees ; Guide tourism education and training work.

(7) Undertake other matters assigned by the municipal government.
