Xichang Satellite Launch Center is an important aviation and aerospace base in my country. Xichang Satellite Launch Center was put into use in 1982. Since the launch of China’s first communication satellite in January 1984, by the end of 2013, it had launched domestic and foreign satellites 82 times, winning honor for the motherland. On April 7, 1990, the center successfully launched the U.S.-made Asia-1 communications satellite.
