Travel style: overseas Chinese buildings, villages, market towns and natural environment. There is no doubt that this is a cultural trip, suitable for photography and people who are interested in human geography.

Itinerary description:

First day of departure: Jiangmen

Self-driving can depart in the afternoon via the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway and cross the Humen Bridge to Jiangmen, which takes up to three hours can be reached. Stayed at Jiangmen Youth Hostel. The International Youth Hostel is located on the edge of Jiangmen Old City Reserve. After arriving, you can visit the night view of Changdi Scenic Street and walk around Jiangmen Old City. At night, most of the century-old streets are deserted, with no lights even on them. They are as quiet as a dead city, and there is a unique charm to wandering there. The problem of eating can be solved on the spot at the youth hostel. Since you have to get up early the next day, don't sleep too late.

The next day: Chishui, Yangang, Lily

If you are driving, you will go to Kaiping in the morning. On the way, you can buy some fermented bean curd sold directly by Guanghe fermented bean curd factory in Shuikou Town. You can already see watchtowers occasionally on the roadside after passing Shuikou. If you are interested, you can drive into the village to have a look, but you need to pay attention to the time and arrive in Kaiping before nine o'clock.

You can refer to this route when driving, or go from Kaiping to Chishui via Baisha. The scenery along the way is so beautiful that no one can resist the temptation without stopping to enjoy it.

There are several watchtowers near the Risheng Tower, which can be seen from the top of the Risheng Tower. You can walk around at will. It is located in a remote place with little external influence, so it is very quiet and full of green. People are relaxed and happy. At noon, we returned to Chishui Town for dinner. I recommend the claypot rice opposite Chishui Market. It costs 5 yuan a portion. It is good quality and cheap.

There are many watchtowers in Xianggang Town. After getting off the bus, you can search along the two banks of Xianggang River in the southwest direction of the town. You will see dozens of watchtowers. Among them, the right bank of the river leads to the two sides of Xianggang Town. Kilometers away, after passing through a row of villages, you can see the roof of the famous Ruishilou. Ruishi Building is currently being cleaned and renovated. It needs to be done as soon as possible, otherwise the surrounding environment will be destroyed in a short time.

After seeing Ruishi Tower, you can return to Danggang via the same route. Drivers can search in the direction of Dongbei Lily. There are countless watchtowers of different styles along the way, but don't be greedy. You can ask people on the road to go to Nan'an Village. If you don’t have a car, you can rent a motorcycle to get there. Nan'an Village is the location of the famous Tianlu Tower, the first of the Ma Jianglong Watchtower Group. There are street signs in the village, and you can view the various watchtowers in turn.

Xiabian Village is on the right side of the road 200 meters before Baihe Town. You can see the beautiful silhouette of Shilu on the road. After watching Shilu, we headed to Chikan from Lily Town. There are still watchtowers to see on the road. If you still have time, you can approach them, but I'm afraid it's getting dark by now. You can stay in Chikan that night, but the conditions are relatively difficult. It is best to return to Kaiping, which will not take much time anyway.

The third day: Chishui Tangkou

After leaving Kaiping, the left side of the road is Tanjiang River, and the right side is a series of villages. There are basically watchtowers in these villages, and you can go all the way Looking at the past, actually looking at the watchtowers is not just about how beautiful they are. Their relationship with the village and the small environment of each watchtower are also very interesting. And no two of these watchtowers will be exactly the same.

There is the South Tower by the Tanjiang River, which is a historical relic of the Chikan people's fight against the Japanese invaders. The more beautiful watchtowers in this series of villages include Zhenhua Building and Jixiang Building, and some of the Luju houses are also very beautiful. You can turn around slowly and rush to Chikan Town to eat when you feel hungry at noon.

Just drive all the way along Tanjiang River. It's just some country roads. It's not very convenient to drive. I'm afraid you have to walk a lot.

On the right side of the road approaching Chikan Town is Kaiping No. 1 Middle School. There is a very beautiful red building inside. If you have the chance, you should go in and take a look.

Have a short rest in Chikan at noon, set off from Chikan, cross National Highway 325, and follow the signs to the direction of Liyuan. Note that there is a large Shoutian Tower in Qingmin Village on the left side of the road. You can take a closer look. Walking further down you will reach Liyuan. The Liyuan Garden is a mature scenic spot. All the buildings are freshly painted, and the surrounding environment of the building is also seriously damaged. I personally think it has little ornamental value, but if you are willing to appreciate it as a small theme park, it is still worth it. A look.

Go all the way down from the intersection of Zili Garden to Tangkou Old Town. There is not much in Tangkou Town itself, but on the north side of the town you can see Fang's Lantern Tower and Zili Village Watchtowers. . The renovation of Zili Village has now been completed, and fees may start to be charged soon. Moreover, the renovation will inevitably cause some damage to the environment, so it is better to go there as early as possible.

In fact, there are a large number of watchtowers and overseas Chinese houses scattered between Zili Village and Fangshi Denglou and in the surrounding villages. They are all very beautiful and you can have a good time here. There is Yaqiang Middle School on the road from Tangkou Old Town to Zili Village. There is an ancestral hall inside the middle school and a huge watchtower behind the ancestral hall. If the school is open, you can go in and take a look.

Exit Tangkou and return along the original route. After reaching National Highway 325, return to Kaiping. There are also many watchtowers in the villages you pass on the road, so take a look at them as you see fit. However, there are two places that are still must-sees.

The first is the famous Canadian Village, which is located in Xiancun, Lingyuan, Chikan. It is on the right side of the road and has a power station on the roadside
