Don't take the illegal car. There are many scammers in Xi'an. If you want to travel independently, there are Beifeng East Peak and Xifeng Hotel on the top of the mountain. You can see the hotel directly by taking the cable car to Beifeng or Xifeng. It is recommended to go up the mountain from the North Peak, and go to the East Peak or South Peak to watch the sunrise depending on your personal preference. The West Peak Cableway goes down the mountain directly to the bus station, and the Huashan Plank Road goes down the mountain and reaches the bus station directly at the foot of the mountain.
