He will simply ask why you came and stay for a few days. There will be many people queuing to enter the country on holidays, so you can get off the plane early and enter the country faster.

Customs declaration: if you don't bring valuables, don't declare them, saving time and effort.

Transfer visa

We changed planes in Kuala Lumpur. If you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for a visa on arrival in Kuala Lumpur. There is a 120 hour transit sign counter at the airport. Please note that if the stay time exceeds 8 hours and the stay time is less than 12 hours, it is not necessary to leave the airport, because the urban area is far from the airport, and the round-trip transportation cost and time cost are too high.

The boarding gate of the connecting flight will not be displayed on the ticket. You need to go to the information desk and ask about your boarding gate. The boarding gate of the plane will not be known until 6 am that day. If you arrive at the airport in the early morning, you can't know which boarding gate it is.

Kuala Lumpur Airport has opened WeChat payment and Alipay payment, so don't buy too much in duty-free shops. I compared the prices of duty-free shops in China, and Kuala Lumpur's is cheaper. Note that things in duty-free shops, especially liquids, cannot be unpacked during travel, especially during transit. You should go in and out of the security check, and don't open the packing bag, which will bring unnecessary trouble.

The quality of local calling cards bought in a treasure is really uneven. One card has no signal anywhere, even the phone can't be dialed out, and the other cards are intermittent. So you can buy more phone cards or rent a mobile WiFi, so as not to be unable to contact others in case of emergency.

The overall signal in Indonesia is not very good, and so is WiFi. Only the last five-star hotel I stayed in was better. I almost lost contact with people the other day. Later, when I saw that WiFi was so powerful and worthless, I was moved to stay up late to catch the drama.

Hotel accommodation

On the first night of your stay, I suggest you book a room that can be cancelled for free, because you never know whether your plane will arrive on time. Our plane was six and a half hours late and arrived in Bali at eight o'clock in the morning, which made us miss the first night.

Bali is particularly humid. Even in a five-star hotel, the bed feels wet. If possible, bring a portable sleeping bag, which is clean and hygienic. Helped me spend a difficult night at the cold airport.

currency conversion

In China, you can change some dollars with you, preferably one dollar and ten dollars. These are for emergency use. It is the most cost-effective to exchange Indonesian rupiah in Bali. The exchange rate at the airport is very low. It is not recommended to exchange money there. After arriving in Bali, you should go to a regular bank exchange point or ATM to exchange money. Some private exchange points cheat on giving money. A couple from China told us that they exchanged money at a private exchange point, and the other person counted the money quickly. When they returned to the hotel, they found that the other party had given a few tickets less. The next day, they called the police and the police came forward to get the money back.

To charter a bus/train/coach

Some scenic spots in Bali are far apart, so it is inconvenient to take a taxi in the local area. You can book a chartered car online in advance. Ten hours is more than 200 RMB, which can seat six people. The driver will take you where you want to go, and there will be no compulsory consumption. If you know a little English, you can hire an English driver for more than 100 yuan, and there is no obstacle to simple English communication. Besides, drivers in China only know a little Chinese, and ultimately they have to rely on English.

Don't let the driver introduce places for eating and spa. The place he took you to was neither delicious nor cheap. Checking the place to eat in advance will make you fall in love with Indonesian food, otherwise you will only be disappointed.

A ship/boat/ticket

If you want to go to a small island like Blue Dream Island, you need to book a boat ticket online in advance. Some tickets include shuttle service. This is the most convenient choice, because the pier is so big that it is difficult for you to find out where your boat is parked.

Wear shorts and slippers on the day of the boat ride. When you get on the boat, you will cross a section of sea water. If the waves are big, just wet your pants. Take some seasickness medicine.

insurance

Travel insurance must be bought, including delay in seeing a doctor and so on. This time our plane was delayed for more than six hours and lost 600 yuan. There was also a car accident in Blue Dream Island, and it was very expensive to see a doctor and buy medicine. The registration fee is 300 yuan RMB, but fortunately, you can go back to China for reimbursement.

Language exchange

English is the official language of Indonesia and India, so people there can speak English, but they have a strong accent, and it is still difficult for a friend of my English major 8 to communicate with them. But ordinary daily communication, even gestures and guesses, can ensure the smooth flow of food, clothing, housing and transportation.

Take a taxi

Taking a taxi in the local area should be called "Bluebird". This is an ordinary taxi. Let the driver remember to set his watch after getting on the bus. At the same time, you should open Google Maps yourself to prevent drivers from detouring and taking you to some dangerous places.
