Introduction of Jiudongtian Scenic Area

Jiudongtian National Scenic Area is located at the junction of Nayong and Dafang counties. Liuchong River flows through two counties from west to east, forming Zongxi River Scenic Area in the upper reaches and Jiudong Sky Scenic Area in the lower reaches. Here, the river dives into the ground, called Guazhong River, which is about 7 kilometers long. There are nine huge skylights on the ridge downstream of the river. Boating on the river, the sky is hidden from time to time, hence the name "Nine Cave Days".

The scenic spot consists of nine caves arranged together to form a "long snake array". Each cave consists of a water cave and a day, with a total length of 3.5 kilometers and a width of 0.5 kilometers. The caves are arranged in the order of Moon Palace, Thunder, Golden Light, Yuyu, Hulu, Elephant King, Xiaoyun, Treasure and Grand View.

There are two waterfalls outside the cave. One is in the cave, the largest karst cave power station in China (2280KW), a natural bridge with a height of 1.20m, a span of 96 m, a thickness of 1.3 1m and an arc length of 1.60m, and a length of 920 m. In addition, there is a "stone flower" spectacle around the Dragon Boat Festival every year, and its "flowering period" is about 20 days, which is a must in the world.

When visiting the Nine Cave, visitors can take the plank road built on the cement pavement or wade by boat. Ten kilometers upstream of Jiudongtian is Zongxi River Canyon, with cliffs on both sides. Wild ducks, mandarin ducks and egrets can be seen everywhere, which is a good place for ecological rafting and sightseeing. The cat farm, 3 kilometers away from Zongxi, has the Battle Monument of Ladder Rock of Hong Jiu Legion, and the Hongjiadu Reservoir is downstream. After the Hongjiadu Reservoir is filled with water, it can reach Zhijin Cave, another national 4A scenic spot in our city, by waterway.

Jiudongtian Scenic Spot was announced by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key scenic spots in 2004. Scenic spots include Tianyundong Tiankai Scenic Area, Tiziyan Mountain Scenic Area and Zongxi River Qingshui Corridor Scenic Area. 1988, Jiudongtian Scenic Area, together with Huangguoshu and Zhijindong, was rated as one of the top ten scenic spots in Guizhou Province.
