North China plans to promote medical tourism to attract Korean tourists.
North Korea is planning to enter the medical tourism industry next year, providing a variety of treatment services for a foreign tourist, most of whom may come from China, including cataract surgery, tooth implantation and tumor resection. According to last Friday's North Korea News, North Korea recently set up a "therapeutic tourism exchange company" to take advantage of the rising demand for medical care and other sightseeing to keep up with the international trend.
The newspaper said that the newly established state-owned entity in North Korea will open medical institutions near relevant hot springs, and local mineral water will help treat neuralgia, arthritis, heart and skin diseases.
Folk tourism is one of the few commercial areas in northern China that have not been affected by sanctions. Some analysts say that 350,000 Korean tourists have visited the DPRK this year, which may bring 654.38+75 billion US dollars (tourism) income to the DPRK.
Last month, it was reported that a hot spring resort in North Korea was about to be completed.
Yang Wujin, a professor of Korean studies at Seoul National University, said that the development of medical tourism in the north of China is a propaganda activity, which is intended to show progress, but he also said that it may attract some Korean tourists. He said: "North China mainly provides natural sightseeing spots, and it seems that combining them with people's favorite oriental medical elements can generate income."
Comments:
Although science and technology and medical care in North China are not so developed, they still have a certain foundation in Chinese medicine. Moreover, there are abundant hot spring resources and a variety of Chinese herbal medicines, which are in line with the Taoist way of keeping in good health. I believe it will attract a large number of China tourists to experience sightseeing in the future.
