Where is Shunwangping?

Shunwangping is a famous scenic spot in Jincheng Gorge.

Gushun Wangping is located in Lishan Nature Reserve at the junction of Yicheng, Yuanqu and Qinshui counties in Shanxi Province. It is said that this is the place where ancient Shun Di cultivated. Shun Wang Ping is the main peak of Lishan Nature Reserve, with an altitude of 2358 meters, which is the highest subalpine meadow in North China. The lawn is surrounded by mountains and lush trees. It is the only well-preserved virgin forest in North China and the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. Springs flow in the mountains, waterfalls splash with fog, and tourists look up at the mountains from the foot of the mountain and see them towering into the clouds.

However, when tourists ride to the top of the mountain along the highway around the mountain, an unexpected meadow appears on the high mountain in Wan Ren, which is called Shun Wang Ping. There are more than 5,400 mu of grassland in Shunwangping. According to local villagers, there are more than a dozen Chinese herbal medicines growing in Shunwangping. After eating cattle, you can prevent diseases and gain weight. After the busy spring every year, the farmers in the surrounding villages are rushing to the cattle in Shunwangping, letting them live freely and unattended. At night, each herd gathers together, and the bulls form a circle with double horns to act as guards to protect the cows and calves in the circle for the night and prevent wild animals from attacking. During the busy autumn harvest season, the villagers drove the cattle down the mountain to harvest the autumn seeds.

On the grassy slope to the north of Wang Ping, there is a row of uneven stone walls made of natural stones, among which a monkey-shaped stone is very conspicuous. Locals call this scene a group of monkeys looking at the moon. There are still many ancient stories about the villages that planted millet and visited sages among the people in the counties along Wang Ping.

At present, Qinshui, Yicheng and Yuanqu counties have invested in repairing the highway leading to Shun Wang Ping, and increased the development of tourism resources, which has promoted the development of local economy.
