The stormy life of Cao Juren, an envoy from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

Liu Zhe

1July 23rd, 972, the 50th anniversary of Mr Cao Juren's death in Macau! According to Luo, former director of the Central Investigation Department, after the death of Comrade, the central leaders and comrades attached great importance to it. Premier Zhou not only entrusted Mr. Fei Yimin, president of Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao, to set up Mr. funeral committee Memorial Hall in Hong Kong and Macao, but also appraised him as a "patriot" and finalized his tombstone: "Mr. Patriot". At the same time, arrange for their relatives to go to Hong Kong to mourn and deal with the aftermath. Mr Cao Juren's patriotism is highly respected by politicians of both parties in China.

The "crow" in the left-wing literary world

Real name Tao, pen name A Ting,,, Tu, Qinyuan. 1900 was born in Fan Jiang Village, Tonghua Township, Pujiang County, Zhejiang Province (now Meijiang Town, Lanxi City) on June 26th.

His father, Cao, was the last scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. Cao Juren was born smart and was taught by his father since he was a child. He first went to a private school and then transferred to Yucai School. At the age of 3, I began to read University; at the age of 4, I read The Doctrine of the Mean; at the age of 5, I read The Analects of Confucius and Mencius; at the age of 6, I began to write; at the age of 7, I recited The Book of Songs.

19 15, Cao Juren was admitted to Zhejiang First Normal University. There are many famous teachers here, such as Step An, Zhu Ziqing, Yu Pingbo, Chen Wangdao, Liu Yanling, Xia Mianzun and Liu Dabai. During the May 4th Movement, Hangzhou Normal University established the Student Autonomy Association, and he was elected as the chairman of the Student Autonomy Association. The famous "First Teacher Tide" was led by him, Xuan Zhonghua and Feng Xuefeng. Later, he edited Qianjiang Review, corresponding to the new wave of Beijing and the awakening of Shanghai, which showed his specialty in writing, editing and interviewing.

192 1 year, he came to Shanghai after graduating from Zhejiang No.1 Normal School. While reading and writing, he became the main contributor of Awakening, the supplement of the Republic of China Daily edited by Shao Lizi, and has written 1 more than ten thousand words. Relying on the circle of Republic of China Daily, he made many friends, such as Liu Yazi, Hu Pu 'an, Chen Duxiu, Zhang Wentian, Qu Qiubai and Dai. Wu Zhihui, in particular, had a great influence on his later writing.

1922 In April, Zhang Taiyan, a master of Chinese studies, gave a lecture on Chinese studies in Shanghai at the invitation of Jiangsu Education Society. Cao Juren, as a special correspondent of the Republic of China Daily, attended the lecture and took notes. Because of his profound knowledge in Chinese studies, his records are accurate and won the praise of Shao Lizi. Zhang Taiyan's speech was serialized in the supplement of Awakening, and then a book Introduction to Chinese Studies was published. Up to now, 40 editions have been published and translated into Japanese, which became a popular literature and history textbook in colleges and universities at that time. Cao Juren therefore became the youngest disciple of Zhang Taiyan.

After 1923, Cao Juren taught in Shanghai Art Institute and Jinan University successively, and became a young professor. Later, he served as a professor of Chinese or history at Fudan University and Zhi Zhi University.

193 1 On August 22nd, Cao Juren founded Sheng Tao Weekly, which is famous for speaking out. Cao Juren compared himself to a "crow" and advocated "crowism", which means reporting good news as well as bad news! His newspaper-running spirit of "going shirtless and fighting to the death" won Lu Xun's appreciation and support.

1March, 935, Cao Juren and * * * edited the bimonthly Mangzhong. There is a woodcut "Spring Cattle Map" on the cover, which shows that it is close to farmers' life and also means to work hard for the autumn harvest. "Mangzhong" advocates popular language and is a style closer to spoken language. According to Cao Juren's recollection, there were three themes in Ear Seed at that time: "First, Lu Xun's essays were used to criticize reality and analyze current events, and we all wrote such words during the period of The Sound of the Waves; Second, the historical sketches we have written have the irony of borrowing the past to tell the present ... Third, reportage is found in newspaper features. In addition, there are scientific sketches of Zhou and Jia Zuzhang. In general, the subjects we write are related to real life. "

Ear seed criticizes the disadvantages of the times and draws lessons from the past to explain the present. It inherited the critical spirit and provocative style of The Sound of the Waves and became an influential publication in the left-wing literary world.

A patriotic "reporter" who saved the nation from extinction.

After the outbreak of the national War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Cao Juren took off his gown, walked off the pulpit and out of his study, and devoted himself to the torrent of the Anti-Japanese War as a famous professor, writer and scholar. He changed into a military uniform and became a war correspondent.

Cao Juren joined the army with a pen and lived in the headquarters of Sun Liangyuan's 88th Division, just across the Suzhou River. He advanced and retreated with the army, braved bullets and fought bloody battles, constantly writing battlefield newsletters for Da Evening News, Li Bao and Central News Agency. On June+10, 5438, he entered the "Four Treasures" stationed by the 524th Regiment in Xie Jinyuan, witnessed the whole process of 800 brave men's heroic persistence, and made timely reports, which inspired and comforted the depressed people in China. Later, he wrote these immersive things into the history of China's anti-Japanese painting, leaving extremely important historical materials for future generations.

After the fall of Shanghai-Nanjing, Cao Juren was hired by the Central News Agency as a special war correspondent. Due to the change of the front, he also retreated from west to north day by day, catching up with the Taierzhuang Campaign and Xuzhou Campaign. 1On April 7th, 938, China's army won a great victory in Taierzhuang, causing a sensation at home and abroad. Cao Juren was the first to report the news of this victory. When the news was published, the whole country went crazy. On April 9th, Cao Juren's long report "A Journey to Taierzhuang" was published in major newspapers all over the country.

1939, at the invitation of Jiang Jingguo, Cao Juren went to Ganzhou, founded Steam Daily, served as editor-in-chief and became a senior consultant of Jiang Jingguo.

The eight-year Anti-Japanese War was a great turning point for him, which made him a famous military journalist. If he once "studied in thousands of books", he has been "on the road to Wan Li" for eight years.

On the eve of liberation, Mr. Ma Shuli, president of Frontline Daily, bought a boat ticket to Taiwan Province for the Cao Juren family, but he finally stayed in Shanghai to welcome liberation. 1950 In July, he went to Hong Kong alone. Before leaving, he wrote letters to Xia Yan, Shao Lizi and others. Shao Lizi replied: Overseas, you can also contribute to your country. This time, he detained Hong Kong and Macao for 22 years! In these 22 years, he has been campaigning for the great cause of peaceful reunification of the motherland until 1972 completed the last journey. Cao Juren was the first overseas journalist who systematically publicized the patriotism of the new China in overseas Chinese newspapers and periodicals.

From 1956 to 1959, Cao Juren was invited back to the mainland for interviews six times. President Mao Zedong received him twice, and Premier Zhou Enlai, Vice Premier Chen Yi and General Zhang Zhizhong also held talks with Cao Juren successively.

At the invitation of Zhou Enlai, Cao Juren held a banquet in the Summer Palace on July 6th. August 14, wrote "Night Talk in the Summer Palace-Meeting Zhou Enlai" in the third edition of Nanyang Business Daily. Shortly thereafter, Life Weekly, sponsored by overseas Chinese in Indonesia, published the report "Premier Zhou and a Night's Talk in the Summer Palace", which formally conveyed the information that the country could cooperate for the third time, and put forward "the third cooperation between countries" for the first time, causing strong shocks at home and abroad.

1On the afternoon of October 3rd, Mao Zedong and Cao Juren had a long talk. When Cao Juren said he was a liberal, Mao Zedong told him to be more liberal. Mao Zedong also asked him a lot about Jiang Jingguo's past in Gannan. 1on August 23rd, 959, a few days before the golden gate artillery battle, Mao Zedong met with him again and asked him to tell Jiang and his son about the purpose of the golden gate artillery battle, mainly about whether the United States was against Taiwan. Soon after, he published the exclusive news of the Golden Gate artillery battle in Nanyang Business Daily.

Cao Juren advocates that countries should reconcile and hold peace talks to solve problems instead of killing each other. 1On June 28th, 956, he wrote in a letter to a friend: "In my opinion, to solve the problem of China, it is better to resort to peace than to war. Two political enemies, Guo * *, married and cohabited, turned against each other, but husband and wife are always husband and wife. It is imperative to hit at the head of the bed and make up at the end of the bed. Why can't they come back? ..... A few months ago, an overseas Chinese industrialist sincerely said to me,' The struggle between China and overseas Chinese will not stop, and the pain caused by the contradiction between overseas Chinese will not be eliminated.' Overseas Chinese have the same expectation. Why don't we speak out in the media? ..... I just advocate * * * peace talks, not initiate peace talks. Those rumors experts don't have to work hard. "

Run for cross-strait peace talks

According to Tong, director of Premier the State Council's office, when Zhou met in the Summer Palace, he expounded the idea of "the third cooperation between countries". Cao Juren had tentatively asked Zhou Enlai about the practical value of his talk about "the peaceful liberation of Taiwan Province Province". Zhou Enlai replied: "The actual value of peaceful liberation is exactly the same as the surface value. The two sides have cooperated twice. The first cooperation was the success of the Northern Expedition of the National Revolutionary Army, and the second cooperation was the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. Why can't we cooperate for the third time? " A month later, Cao Juren's Nanyang Business Daily, where he worked, sent a signal for the first time that China could cooperate overseas for the third time.

Mr. Xu, former deputy director of the Office of the Central Investigation Department, deputy director of the Office of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, deputy director of the Office of the Central Leading Group for Taiwan Work, chief counselor of the Swiss Embassy and member of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of National Security, also recalled: "Cao Juren visited the mainland many times from 1956 to 1959, and I personally accompanied Mr. Mi Shangguo for peace talks." He also believes that the relevant state departments should attach importance to the study of Cao Juren and related commemorative activities, and cannot bury his important contribution to the great cause of the reunification of the motherland.

Xu said: "In the past, for political reasons, I kept this secret. I dare not say a word to the outside world about Cao Juren's bid for cross-strait peace talks. Now the situation is very good, and people from all walks of life are very concerned about the history of Cao Juren's campaign for cross-strait peace talks. Because of my work, I have a special relationship with Cao Juren. Now my health is too poor. If I don't make this history clear to the relevant state departments and future generations, I am sorry for Mr. Cao Juren and my country. It is hoped that the relevant state departments will attach importance to the research and publicity of Cao Juren, which is in line with the historical fact that Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Chen Yi and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation attached great importance to Cao Juren during their lifetime. After a slight improvement in my health, I went to the organization to read Cao Juren and Chairman Mao, Zhou Enlai, conversation record of Chen Yi at that time, and my reports and diaries to the Central United Front Work Department and the Central Investigation Department, recording the history of Cao Juren's running for the peaceful reunification of the two sides of the strait. As my account of history, it is the last important thing to be completed in my life. "

Xu also solemnly wrote an inscription: "I am a historical witness of Mr. Cao Juren's efforts for the peaceful reunification of the two sides of the strait. I have diaries and photos to refer to. "

Xu also said: "When Cao Juren was in Gannan, Jiangxi, he was very familiar with Harmony. Cao Juren once told me that Huang Jici, who had a good relationship with Jiang Jingguo (former confidential secretary of Jiang Jingguo, both of whom were students of Master Hongyi of Zhejiang First Normal University), had visited him in Macau. We reported this situation to Chairman Mao and Premier Zhou. Chairman Mao laid down the principle of "fake play is real", and Chairman Mao just asked Cao Juren to do propaganda. After shelling Kinmen, he took our advice and wrote a letter. After I went to Guangzhou, I heard his report. Chen (Chen Yi) told me that he told Huang Keats that he hoped to send a delegation to negotiate and let Xu be the head of the delegation. Premier Zhou said with a smile that he is not Xu, but Wang, Wang, not Xu. The chairman of the Kuomintang was a little paranoid when he said he was talking nonsense. Chairman Mao talked with Cao Juren for 38 days and consciously asked him to expose the past. I am talking about the cooperation between the third countries, although I can rest assured that I will send someone to talk about it. At that time, Cao Juren did put forward the idea of holding talks between the two countries in Kinmen. We will let Jiang Jingguo come to Kinmen. Cao Juren said it would be better to send someone from Beijing. If not, he will go to Kinmen to meet Jiang Jingguo. As far as I know, Cao Juren didn't go to Taiwan Province Province. I believe that Chiang Kai-shek and Jiang Jingguo sent people to Macau to see Cao Juren. It is convenient to go at that time.

Xu said: "I accompanied the couple from Beijing and visited Lushan Mountain and Xikou. I keep a diary and take photos. I also have my diary and photos for your reference. Why did you go to Lushan Mountain and Xikou? It was ready to be repaired at that time. When Chiang Kai-shek came back, he was willing to live in the original site of Lushan Mountain, so he went to see it and lived in Xikou, not to mention it. We saw the beauty salon where Chiang Kai-shek lived, the former residence of Chiang Kai-shek in Xikou and the cemetery of Chiang Kai-shek's mother in Lushan. Later, after Cao Juren returned to Hongkong, he specially wrote a report and sent photos to Jiang and his son. I took some photos with my camera. Cao Juren's own camera didn't take good photos. "

1June, 957, Xu accompanied the couple to visit Lushan Mountain and Xikou, and truthfully recorded their secret trip in the form of a diary. The diary is written like this:

At 7: 30 am on June 1 1, Beijing accompanied Cao () and Deng () to Lushan by train and arrived in Jiujiang at 7: 00 pm on June 13. In June 14, Jiujiang Guest House was over-received. I am serious. It is interesting for you to say that Cao Tou (referring to Chiang Kai-shek) can come here. Cao said that he (Chiang Kai-shek) was a distinguished guest when he came. On June 15, I visited Huanglong Temple, Huanglong Lake and Wulong Lake in the morning. /kloc-in June of 0/6, it kept raining, and I also learned to write poetry. June 17, it was foggy after the rain, and it seemed difficult to breathe under the cover of people. "I don't know the true face of Lushan Mountain" is also a mistake. Don't want to sit in the room, go to Chiang Kai-shek's residence. It's under repair and it's a mess. The original furniture has been moved elsewhere. Lushan Mansion is full of charm, cedar and cypress trees stand on both sides of the stone steps, and the infamous Lushan Training Mission run by Chiang Kai-shek is located in the building.

June 18, sunny. I finished early and went out right away. The Fairy Cave really has a quiet atmosphere. Wang Yangming of Datianhu has an inscription. There are only two stone houses in the temple, and most of the buildings were destroyed by the Japanese. There are many poems. I think it is a good sentence to plant bamboo in the morning and white clouds at night. The guests paid attention to the comparison before and after the liberation of the temple, and talked about the gains and losses of the capitalist management mode journalism. He didn't want to comment on the newspaper's criticism of Zhang Boju, Chu Anping and others' reactionary words and deeds, but he also said that he would use tens of thousands of words to report the rectification movement. I don't think he reads the editorials of People's Daily, but he writes very superficial newsletters. He bought some scenic photos and sent them to Nanyang Business Daily that night when he arrived in Lushan. In the afternoon, you can visit the famous Hanpokou, commanding and enjoying a panoramic view of Poyang Lake, which is famous for its weather. On June 20th, I left Lexus and returned to Jiujiang. On the morning of June 2 1, I went to Haihui Temple and Xing Zi County. The guests were talking nonsense, but I listened. He said it was a famous place in the era of reactionary rule. In the future, the old grass head (referring to Chiang Kai-shek) can live in Nanshan. There are many people in Gai Guling, and it is not convenient. The southern foot faces Poyang Lake, which is also unique. I really don't know where the mystery is! At 8 o'clock in the evening, take Jiang Shunlun to the east.

On July 2, I went to Xikou because it was inconvenient to eat and live, and continued to Ningbo. At this time, it was already dusk. On the morning of July 3, I turned back to Xikou from Ningbo, and it took me an hour to get there. No time to go to Xuedou Temple, Miaogaotai and other places. I only saw my mother's residence, cemetery and the former site of Wuling School of Jiang's father and son. Xikou is a town along Wuxi, with a long street and a population of 1000. We will rest in the district Committee, some will go to Fenghua for a meeting, some will go to the countryside to produce, leaving only one instructor to look after the house. Wenchang Pavilion has been destroyed by half, the tomb has been destroyed, and the cemetery is intact. Jiang's hometown and Wuling School have been occupied by the Second Preparatory School of the Public Security Army. Cao () said that the school studied agronomy, but unfortunately, it should be kept. He also said that Zhang Kai can still do this job when he comes back. The district instructor said that some people have been here successively in the name of inspection, including Shao Lizi and others, which has aroused people's concern. It is rumored that Jiang Guangtou will come back. Chiang Kai-shek's attendants and several other people live here. It has been sunny for more than a day, but it is very hot. We had a rest in the district Committee and boarded the return trip.

In his later years, Cao Juren wrote many letters to his younger brother Yicao and his original wife Wang Chuncui, revealing a lot of little-known contents that he campaigned for cross-strait peace talks.

In his letter to his family, he wrote: "I should have returned to China, but it was too big for Beijing and Taiwan Province (referring to Taiwan Province Province, Chiang Kai-shek and Jiang Jingguo) to let me go. A few years ago, I was able to stall the situation, which can be said to be the right country. " "When I leave, I must wait for the instructions of the Prime Minister! These two days, all the important guests have left. I have been waiting for a long time. The day before yesterday, when I met Director Luo (then Vice Premier Luo of the State Council), he said, "At present, I have a great responsibility. As long as Cui (the original wife Wang Chuncui) goes overseas and lives in peace, don't worry too much about my work. At present, my work is very important, but fortunately there is no great danger. Just persuade her not to worry about me. " (to a grass) "My writing work is instructed by Beijing. In the face of overseas Chinese, of course, I can't vent my anger through one nostril, otherwise my role will be completely lost. I didn't expect it to become the ideological signpost of overseas Chinese all over the world, and both Beijing and China paid special attention to me. My medical care also depends on Beijing's help. Of course, I can't listen to (Mrs Deng) and their opinions. Some people here have their own leaders. " (to a grass) "I work for the government. I can't decide whether to stay or go back." (to Wang Chuncui) "My affairs are all decided by the Prime Minister, and I dare not make my own decisions. But he is very satisfied with my work. " (to a grass) "I'm very busy recently. I originally went back to Guangzhou on the 26th, but I was delayed because I was asked to stay in Hongkong (referring to Taiwan Province Province). " (to a grass) "My work is absolutely confidential. If they want to know, (referring to those who criticize Mr. Wang) ask Premier Zhou, which is what the Premier told me. " (To a grass) "As you think, because this line has not been broken, Beijing also told me to stay in Hong Kong and wait for contact. In the past ten years, there has been no movement there. This is my strength. " (to a grass) "I must obey Beijing's orders. I didn't tell you my behavior. " (To Wang Chuncui) "What I am doing has been dragging on, because the world situation is changing from time to time. Others are just next to each other and have been mothers-in-law. It is not easy for her to be a wife. I'm just a matchmaker. I can't drag people into the sedan chair. ..... when I will return to Beijing has not been decided. Wait until the Prime Minister returns. " (to Wang Chuncui) "Juren was ordered to be responsible for overseas liaison and publicity work, which was directly directed by the United Front Work Department and the Prime Minister's Office ... This work is absolutely confidential." (to a grass) "I work for the government now, and I can't do anything casually. Or I won't go back to China? I am like a sentry, can I say, am I not standing at the outpost? " (To Wang Chuncui) …

"Remembrance" of relatives and friends

Tong, former deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, said: "I met with Mr. Wang when he came to Beijing to engage in the great cause of the reunification of the motherland in the 1950s. But I can't write a memory article, so I have a sentence for your reference. Luo, former director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Central Committee and deputy director of the Prime Minister's Office, attended the reception talks at that time. Please investigate him. " He was also invited to write an inscription for Cao Juren Research Information Center: "Mr. Cao Juren's patriotic spirit of running around for the cause of reunification of the motherland is worth learning and carrying forward."

On September 28th, Tong once again said, "It is credible that Mr. Cao Juren is patriotic and advocates the peaceful reunification of the motherland." "When he arrived in Beijing, he reported to Premier Zhou Enlai that he went to sea from Hong Kong and met with Jiang Jingguo, which aroused the suspicion of the Prime Minister and thought that what he said was true or not. But as long as it can convey the Taiwan policy of the party and the government, he can take it seriously, pretend to be true and not pursue it. In this regard, we can't just read her daughter's article (referring to Cao Lei's article "Father turned out to be an emissary" published in the United Daily News of Taiwan Province Province on March 8 198), but we should study and publicize it realistically. "

Tong disclosed in "Forty Years of Storm": "1In July, 956, he talked with a Hong Kong reporter and said that the two parties in the country could cooperate for the third time"; "1one day in August, 958, Mao Zedong met with Cao Juren, a Hong Kong journalist who came to the mainland to learn about the situation, and talked about the shelling of Kinmen. Let Cao tell Taiwan Province Province. "

Mrs. Deng once wrote in her notes: "One day (August 1958), Tong came to Xinqiao Hotel and we happened to go out. He left a note on the desk in the bedroom, which read' Chairman will meet you tomorrow morning 10' (to this effect) and wrote "Tong". "

1April 998 16, Cheng Siyuan, vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), said: "It is of great significance to learn that you are participating in the establishment of the Cao Juren Research Information Center after receiving the letter from April1/kloc-0. My brother is also optimistic. In the 1960s, Mr. Cao was the editor-in-chief of the Lunch Newspaper, and his younger brother was invited by Mr. Cao to write a manuscript for the "Zhenghai" column of the newspaper. They had a lot of contacts. The entries of this center should be followed. Enclosed please find the inscription. " The content of the inscription is "Inscribe to Cao Juren Research Information Center: Learn from Mr. Ju Ren's academic spirit and make contributions to promoting Chinese culture". 1998 spring, 90-year-old Cheng Siyuan.

On June 4th, Cheng Siyuan sent another letter of congratulations: "I learned from your letter that July this year will be the 98th anniversary of Mr. Cao Juren's birth, and the research and information center for Mr. Juren will be officially announced, which is of great significance for carrying forward patriotism and setting an academic research model. I express my heartfelt congratulations! "

1997, Cao Juren's hometown invested100000 yuan to establish a school named after Cao Juren. 1August, 999, the teachers and students of this school wrote to Vice President Cheng Siyuan, asking him to write down the name of the school. Cheng Siyuan happily wrote "Lanxi Juren School". In 2000, the commemoration of Cao Juren100th anniversary was jointly organized by Shanghai Lu Xun Memorial Hall and Shanghai Municipal Political Consultative Conference Literature and History Information Committee. Despite his advanced age and busy government affairs, Cheng Siyuan personally wrote a preface, praising Cao Juren's life as "a life of fighting and patriotism".

Jinan Daily published the article "1963 National Top Secret Meeting * * *", which disclosed the 1963 National Top Secret Meeting for the first time. 1996, Hong Kong's South China Morning Post published a message from Chinese mainland, pointing out that it was Chiang Kai-shek and Jiang Jingguo, or one of them, who attended the secret meeting. In April of the same year, a Hong Kong magazine published an article by Wen Shibi entitled "Zhou Enlai did secretly meet Jiang Jingguo on an island in the South China Sea". It was not Chiang Kai-shek or Chen Cheng who left the Kuomintang for Wendian to attend the meeting, but Jiang Jingguo, the son of Chiang Kai-shek who was then the "political commissar" of the Kuomintang in Taiwan Province Province and the "deputy director of the Political and War Department of the Ministry of National Defense" in Taiwan Province.

1972 65438+ 10/2, Cao Juren wrote to Fei Yimin, president of Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao, revealing Chiang Kai-shek's thoughts. In this letter, he wrote: "My brother's illness has been delayed for five and a half months. Every day when the pain is unbearable, I have to swallow two painkillers, so I still can't be optimistic. Pain was operated on at the intersection five years ago. If the pain turns into drama, it must be operated again. The doctor said that another operation would be very serious. I hope not. My brother's duty is like an overseas sentry. He never hesitated, never made a personal plan, and always hoped to finish this modest thing before he died. My brother is a member of the Chiang family, so he is only a relative, not a believer. In the eyes of the old man, my brother is just his nephew, and it is a privilege to talk to me. My brother can't be Zhang Yuejun (referring to Zhang Qun). The old man has made it clear that he can't be Li Houzhu before he dies. Let's take a look at how this recent scene works. Yesterday morning, my brother heard the telegram of the death of Mr. Chen Zhonghong (Chen Yi) for a long time. Because my brother returned to Beijing for the first time, he talked with Teacher Chen for the longest time. At that time, the scheduled plan was to make initial contact with Mr. Chen on the island outside Fuzhou. Today, Mr. Chen passed away. Guo Jing was in poor health and his brother was very ill. Of course, there will be others picking shoulders, and I always feel a little sorry for my brother! "

Cao Juren compared himself to "standing guard with a lamp". For the reunification of the motherland, he gave up liberalism and embarked on the road of patriotism without regret. He ran for the cause of peaceful reunification of the two sides of the strait, devoted himself to it, and died. He upholds the national justice, cares about the two sides of the strait and yearns for reunification.
