"Putting grain on the ground" is an extensive way to store grain. After the autumn harvest every year, farmers are always used to stacking the harvested corn in their yard to dry, commonly known as "spreading grain on the ground". Because the food on the ground is open-air, when the weather changes, it is easy to cause food to be moldy and germinated, and it will be eaten by mice.

Extended data

The correct way to store corn:

1. If the corn encounters precipitation before threshing, you can choose to spread corncob in the room, no matter which room, wherever you can. Be careful not to pile them up and spread them evenly, and pay attention to indoor ventilation.

2. When corn encounters precipitation after threshing, it can be spread out in the house to dry. Don't spread it directly on the ground. You can put a plastic sheet on it, or you can blow it with an electric fan and turn it frequently. If the room area is small, all the harvested corn kernels can't fit, so you can spread them out and blow them separately, for example, replace a part in 2 hours.
