Yuci Ancient Town Diary 200 words

After the winter vacation, I once again went to Yuci Ancient Town in Shanxi, my hometown.

On Yu Jia Street, enter the old city from the gate. On this day, because of the good weather, many people came to visit. In Shi Zhuan, the ground of the city is gray and white. Due to perennial wind erosion and trampling, the edges and corners in some places are worn and cracked. There are some bushes along the road that have not withered. Leaves are not as vibrant as spring, dark green in color, and look dignified and vicissitudes.

Follow the crowd all the way. Walk on the path and enjoy the surrounding scenery. As the route changes, some are wide, some are narrow, some are brick yards, and some are cobblestone paths. The journey takes about two or three feet to reach the Chenghuang Temple.

Chenghuang Temple is a big square opposite the temple. The square is very spacious,1000,800 people gather here for the meeting, so it will definitely not be crowded. There are several pavilions for people to take a nap, and the stone benches in the pavilions are full of tourists. In the center of the square, there are a pair of brave men with iron and blood, who are extremely brave. For many years, they stuck to their posts like brave guards.

Turn around and step into the most visited Chenghuang Temple. Looking up at the door, there is a black plaque that says "City God Temple" directly above. The beams are decorated with exquisite wooden patterns. It is said that Yuci Ancient Town has the oldest and best-preserved City God Temple in China. So I also visited with awe.

There is a path to the west of the temple, and at the end of the path is a garden. The plaque at the door reads: West Park. The courtyard has a unique style, proper layout, lush green grass, flowers and birds, and is very comfortable. There are verandahs in the west, rockeries in the north and many pavilions. How beautiful!

Walking out of the West Garden, I saw Sifeng Tower spreading its wings. This building is very unique in shape, built on a one-meter-high ceiling with high cornices and upturned eaves. No wonder people call it "Four Phoenix Tower"! The tiles are light gray, like floating a layer of light dust. Elegant colors and exquisite carvings amazed everyone, as if they had entered a world of pictures. Go up several flights of stairs and take a closer look at the red paint on the pillars. There are signs of wear and tear, and there are several thick cobwebs. But isn't that what witnessed the thousand-year history of the old city?

Walking around the building, I feel that Sifeng Building is much higher than Chenghuang Temple. After a while, I went downstairs and left the old city with the crowd again.
