It is said that the steep slope pond waterfall has another special phenomenon: before every flood comes, the waterfall will make a "roaring sound", so it is also called "roaring waterfall".

The steep slope pond waterfall is in the upper reaches of Huangguoshu Waterfall. Although not as famous as Huangguoshu Waterfall, it is a must-see spot for childhood nostalgia and iron powder of Journey to the West, because it is one of the shooting places of the 85th edition of Journey to the West. The scene of four disciples crossing the river in the play was shot at the steep slope pond waterfall. At present, there is an ancient westward tour in the steep slope pond scenic spot.
