Tourism Strategy of Sangke Grassland in Gannan

Gannan Sangke grassland is full of wildness and arrogance for many people. This is the most exciting place in Gannan. Every tourist who yearns for the northwest prairie will come here to feel the special customs here. Here, I will share with you a detailed strategy.

Sangke Grassland is located in the southwest of Xiahe County, Gannan 10 km, where the legendary Tibetan hero King Gelsall simmered mulberry to help out.

Braised mulberries are a blessing ceremony for Tibetans. Han people go into temples to burn incense and worship incense. When Tibetans simmer mulberries, they first put cypress branches in the mulberries furnace and light them, then sprinkle some rice cakes, tea, highland barley, fruits, sugar and so on. Finally, they soaked cypress branches in clear water and sprinkled them on the lit fireworks three times. Throughout the process, the braise in soy sauce will recite the "six-character mantra".

The grassland is surrounded by mountains, among which the Daxia River flows slowly from south to north, with rich water plants and fat cattle and sheep. It is a typical plateau grassland and an ideal natural pasture.

As soon as I drove out of the county and entered the grassland, I saw Xiahe slowly flowing by the roadside, like a white Hada falling on the grassland. Pairs of ducks and ducks are playing freely, horses are eating grass slowly on the shore, grasslands are extending one by one to distant mountains, and a few white clouds are floating slowly, regardless of the passage of time.

With the gradual entry into the grassland, the grassland is getting greener and more lush, and there are more and more yaks, which look lazy.

"White clouds are floating in the blue sky, and horses are running under them", a magnificent picture of "the sky is grey, the land is vast, and the wind blows grass and cattle and sheep are low", stepping into the grassland with flowers and green grass, my mood suddenly flew up.

You and I smiled at each other, as if we were young, and we didn't abandon each other. We decided that you wouldn't let go, listen to bloom, sit and watch the clouds roll, and keep driving. A large sea of rape flowers appeared in front of us, which combined with the flowing water of Xiahe River and the distant mountains to form a pleasing picture.

The blue sky and white clouds overhead, living in the Ganges Grassland in vast expanse, are filled with flowers swaying in the wind. Let you always have the illusion that you can touch the sky with your hands. Looking at the changing clouds not far away, you are really fascinated by the scenery in front of you.

Go deep into the Moraceae grassland, where the water plants are rich and the cattle and sheep flock together, and you are immersed in a Tibetan paradise. This beautiful and peaceful state is enough to purify your mind.

Nuoding camp

There is no running water and no toilet, so it is the most beautiful hotel. Want to know, just drive from Lanzhou to Gannan the next day.

It takes about three and a half hours to drive from downtown Lanzhou to the camp. All the way is basically high-speed, but part of the grassland entering Sanke is dirt road. Although the dirt road is relatively smooth, it is recommended that you choose SUV models as much as possible to prevent rainy weather.

Weather: the temperature is still a little cold at the end of June, about 17 degrees, and it will drop to about 12 degrees at night. It is recommended to bring a cotton-padded coat.

Altitude: Moraceae grassland is 3 100 meters above sea level, and there is no altitude sickness. I also drank some wine while eating, but I didn't feel high.

Accommodation: We choose to live in a yak tent, and there are cabins to choose from. The bedding in the yak tent is all yak bedding produced by another workshop of the camp owner. There is a hot stove in the room, and the staff will light it at night. The most intimate thing is that I returned to my room at 9 o'clock in the evening and found that the warm water bag was full and put under the bed to keep warm. At about 7 o'clock in the morning, we have to fill the charcoal fire again. The room is very warm, and all the utensils for washing face and brushing teeth are in the room.

Bathing and aqua privy: The camp uses a public bathroom with 24-hour hot water, and one room for each person is very clean. Dry toilets are used in the camp. In order to protect grassland ecology, it needs to be covered with soil every time it is used up, which can be converted into fertilizer for planting grassland crops.

Meal: local fresh ingredients are the main raw materials, and the dishes are specially made by Andrew, the chef of Anman Hotel Group. Anyway, I fell in love with the food here, and I can see the intention of the camp owner. There are bars in the camp, and cocktails are made of highland barley wine.

Fun: there are horse riding, archery, yoga, hot water bath by the river and massage SPA in the camp. I didn't expect that there would be so many recreational activities on such an open grassland.

Surroundings: Labrang Temple is more than 20 minutes away from the camp, which is well worth visiting.

The camp is only open for five months every year, from May to 10 every year.
