Shiyue is 32 kilometers away from Fugong County. Before we witness its beauty, let me introduce Shiyue to you. Shiyue is located at the top of the west bank of Nujiang River at an altitude of 3200-3500 meters in Shiyue Township, Fugong County, in the north-central part of Gaoligong Mountain Range. It is a deep hole dissolved by natural marble that penetrates the whole mountain. The deep hole is oval, with a length of 32.70m from east to west, a height of 60m from top to bottom, a width of 30m and a depth of12m. There is a dry spruce tree about 20 meters high in front of the cave. Seen from a distance, it hangs like a bright moon in Lin Fenghai, connected with the sky and surrounded by peaks, forming a geological wonder of Nujiang Grand Canyon, which is majestic, strange, mysterious and beautiful. The Lisu language is called "Ahaba", which is the birthplace of Lisu people. In the folk stories of Lisu and Nu people, there are many mysterious legends about Shiyue, which cast a mysterious veil on it. The most famous one is that ancient floods broke out, rivers flooded and human beings suffered. There are only two brothers and sisters left on the earth. The elder brother's name is Qi Jiu, and the younger sister's name is Jiu. God instructed them to marry and reproduce human beings. One day, by the Nujiang River, Princess Wang Long met Qi Jiu and fell in love with him deeply. Since then, she has often met him. When Wang lung learned about it, he not only tried to stop them from falling in love, but also tried to use magic to make the river flood the mountains and the July 9th. The gods also noticed the dragon king's opposition and prepared wooden boats and bows and arrows for them in advance, so that the brother, sister and dragon girl could easily escape when the dragon king carried the water. Later, the Dragon King abused his magic and stirred up the sea, causing a terrible flood. In an instant, he flooded the canyon and climbed over the mountains. Qi Jiu's brother, sister and dragon lady sat on the wooden boat prepared by the gods and drifted in the waves for seven days and seven nights. However, the thunder and lightning continued, the wind and rain continued, and the sea became a disaster. At this critical moment, Qi Jiu shot an arrow into the sky and the wind and rain stopped immediately. Then he shot a second arrow, which dispelled the dark clouds and raised a fiery red sun. The third arrow aimed at a towering building in front of him. The flood flowed out of the cave, but the three of them were trapped in the stone moon cave with cliffs and abyss on both sides, and they were in a dilemma. At this time, when there was nothing to do, the girl who started drinking resolutely jumped off the cliff from the cave, and a beautiful rainbow bridge suddenly appeared between the mountains in the abyss, so that Qi Jiu and Long Nv could cross the bridge, which eventually contributed to their marriage and enabled mankind to thrive.

Geologically speaking, the Stone Moon is a strong horizontal compression caused by the direct collision between the Indian plate and the Eurasian plate in the late Yanshan movement and the Himalayan movement respectively. In addition, due to the influence of Quaternary glaciation at that time, the lithology of the whole area was very resistant to corrosion. The stress released after the collision caused the ancient Mediterranean Sea, which had been invaded by seawater for many times, to rise rapidly on a large scale, and the rivers cut rapidly along the structural line, and the fault blocks rose and sank, forming a mountain geological wonder.

Shiyue is a part of Shiyue Scenic Area, with an altitude of 2,200 meters to 5,000 meters and a total area of about 80 square kilometers. The main peak of Moon Mountain is obvious, surrounded by peaks, steep and majestic. The main peak, Crouching Tiger Peak, is about 5000 meters above sea level. It is tall and lifelike, just like a tiger lying on the top of the mountain from south to north, overlooking Tanggula on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. No one has climbed this mountain yet. When the sun rises, a bright red sun smiles from Robbie Snow Mountain. The Nujiang Grand Canyon suddenly shines brightly, with protruding peaks, concave and convex gullies and criss-crossing canyons. The outline of the Grand Canyon gradually receded from the mysterious veil in the morning light, and a "0" color oil painting scroll was displayed in front of us. When the sun sets, the stone moon on Gaoligong Mountain rises slowly, facing the sunset and heading for the boundless night sky, just like a bright moon hanging in the night sky.
