Shenzhen Baoan International Airport is located in Baoan District, Shenzhen City, China, on the east bank of the Pearl River Estuary, with geographical coordinates of 1 13 49 east longitude and 22 36 north latitude. It is a 4F civil transport airport, one of the top 100 airports in the world, one of the national 12 trunk airports, and one of the four national air cargo centers and express delivery centers.

Shenzhen Airport officially opened in June 199 1 10. On 2001September 18, Shenzhen Huangtian International Airport was officially renamed as Shenzhen Baoan International Airport. On June 5, 2006, the expansion project of the flight area was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. 2011On July 26th, the second runway of Shenzhen Airport was officially opened.
