What's the weather like in Kunming all year round?

The climate of Kunming enjoys the reputation of "Spring City". There is no severe cold in winter, no intense heat in summer, and the four seasons are like spring.

Kunming is located in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with an altitude of nearly 2000 meters. Although it is close to the tropics, its height offsets its low latitude, which is the main reason why it is cooler in summer.

In addition, Kunming is located in the plateau, and there are Wangliangshan and Wumeng Mountain in the north to block the invasion of cold air from north to south, so there are few cold days in winter.

Kunming has four seasons like spring and a pleasant climate, which is conducive to agricultural and animal husbandry production. Crops are harvested twice a year, and warm crops such as rice, tea and cotton can be planted. Because the temperature there does not change much, it is especially suitable for the production of precision machines and instruments.
