No matter how hot it is, why not sweat?

In normal human body, sweat glands are distributed all over the body except mucous membrane. There are two ways of sweating, overt sweating and non-overt sweating. When the temperature is below 30 degrees Celsius, there is no sweating, but there is always sweating on the body surface, which is non-dominant sweating. On average, people unconsciously volatilize 600 ml of sweat every day. Generally, when the temperature exceeds 30 degrees Celsius, people begin to sweat. This is explicit sweating, which takes away the heat on the body surface through the evaporation of sweat and keeps the body temperature constant. First, the principle of sweating and not sweating: "Sweat when the weather is hot, and don't sweat when it is cold." This is a feeling shared by people; "It's not normal to sweat when it's hot and sweat when it's cold without exercise." In daily life, in fact, the skin secretes sweat through sweat glands every day, but when the temperature is low, the sweat secreted by sweat glands is not only too little, but also evaporated just after leaving the epidermis, which is called "invisible sweat" in medicine. So why do people sweat? Physiologically, besides emitting heat, there are other important functions: for example, ① Sweat can maintain the physiological balance of water supply and evaporation and prevent the cuticle from drying. (2) Sweat can acidify the skin surface and prevent microbial invasion. ③ Sweat and sebum emulsify with each other to form a lipid film on the skin surface, which has the function of protecting the skin. In addition, it is also related to the metabolism of electrolytes, mucopolysaccharides and hormones. Therefore, patients with anhidrosis should seek medical treatment as soon as possible, and comprehensive treatment can be used to alleviate their pain. Second, the reason for not sweating: people often feel the same way. When they encounter strong external stimuli, they will find themselves "sweating with fear". In fact, this is a normal reaction, because mental stimulation increases nerve impulses and acetylcholine secretion, leading to hyperhidrosis. However, some people are "stunned and sweaty." Why? Hypohidrosis or anhidrosis on the skin surface can be caused by abnormal sweat glands themselves or a certain level of neural pathways. People can see obvious sweat when sweating, and everyone thinks that he sweats a lot; Some people are like winter swimmers. You can't see them sweating, but you can obviously see the hot air coming out of them. In addition, some people have more body fluids and sweat more; Some people have less body fluids and sweat, and the amount of sweating during exercise is also related to drinking water. If you drink plenty of water before exercise, you will increase your perspiration due to the increase of body fluids. For sports, when doing the same amount of exercise, it should be that the less you sweat, the better your health, because his body has stronger self-regulation ability. "If under normal circumstances, the phenomenon of not sweating is completely normal, indicating that people are in good health. On the contrary, some people sweat easily if they exercise a little, which means it is a symptom of the disease. If you feel hot and don't sweat, it is a problem with sweat glands (congenital or acquired). It's best to go to the hospital to check this situation and find out the reason for not sweating. The main reasons for not sweating are: (1) congenital hypoplasia of sweat glands or absence of sweat glands, which can be manifested as systemic or localized anhidrosis. (2) Some skin diseases, such as severe ichthyosis, scleroderma, leprosy, radiation dermatitis and skin atrophy, can cause localized anhidrosis. (3) Nerve injury, such as transverse myelitis, poliomyelitis, paraplegia, local injury of sympathetic nerve, medulla oblongata and pons, can cause systemic or local anhidrosis. ④ Some visceral diseases, such as diabetes, diabetes insipidus, chronic nephritis, mucinous edema, malignant tumor, etc. In addition, vitamin A deficiency, etc. , but also cause systemic anhidrosis. Second, the treatment of non-sweating: In addition to the clinical treatment of anhidrosis caused by congenital sweat gland dysplasia, if it is caused by other diseases, the primary disease (the disease that causes anhidrosis) should be actively treated. Without sweating in summer, the body temperature can't be adjusted. In addition to treatment, people who are extremely unwell can move to low temperature areas, or take artificial cooling, such as installing air conditioners indoors. Third, Chinese medicine's understanding and treatment of anhidrosis: 1, kidney yang deficiency: hands and feet are easy to catch cold if they don't sweat, no matter how they exercise, they don't sweat. Fear of cold is a sign of weakness, mostly due to kidney yang deficiency, which means that qi can't make blood, so blood can't reach the end of blood vessels, and all limbs of the body are hands and feet, so they will catch cold. 2, kidney yin deficiency: in any case, the whole body has no sweat, only hands and feet are hot, slightly sweaty, thin body, hot flashes, five upset, dry throat, red cheeks. (1) Internal treatment: ① Yin deficiency syndrome: more common in congenital deficiency, or fever impairing Yin, unbearable summer, dry mouth and throat, like sheep dung, red tongue with little fur and thready pulse. Treatment should nourish yin, promote fluid production and sweat source. Prescription: Radix Rehmanniae 30g, Radix Ophiopogonis 10g, Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati 10g, Radix Trichosanthis 10g, Radix Astragali 20g, Radix Puerariae 10g, Radix Angelicae Sinensis 10g, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae 10g, and Fructus Schisandrae/kloc-0g. You can wear light cotton fabrics and loose clothes; Do other heatstroke prevention measures.
