Why does Mount Fuji in Japan snow all the year round?
Although it is an active volcano, the temperature is not high because it has not erupted for a long time. In addition, Mount Fuji is above the atmospheric temperature line of 0℃, with cold seasons and abundant precipitation. After the rain and snow, the ice and snow are not easy to melt.
Mount Fuji is symmetrical and uniform in shape. Snow-capped peaks are covered with snow all year round. In the sun, it looks like a shining snow crown. The snow crown is shaped like a jade fan, which is small on the top and big on the bottom, and turns upside down, so there is a beautiful poem "White fan hangs upside down in the East China Sea". This white and blue hue is called "a jade hibiscus in the blue sky" and is regarded as a rare wonder in the world.
Extended data:
Mount Fuji is a typical layered volcano which was formed about 654.38 million years ago. The basement is tertiary stratum. In the early Quaternary, volcanic lava broke through the tertiary strata and formed a mountain after eruption and accumulation. Later, after many eruptions, volcanic eruptions piled up layer by layer, and it became a cone-shaped layered volcano.
In the formation process of Mount Fuji, it can be roughly divided into the following four stages, namely, the first Xiaoyue, Xiaoyue, the ancient Mount Fuji and the new Mount Fuji. Among them, Xiaoxian County is the oldest volcano in Yueyue, which was formed by the renewal generation hundreds of thousands of years ago.
