What are the methods to determine the planting period of tomato and what are the common planting methods?

(1) The planting period of tomato depends on the cultivation method. Tomato in spring should be planted after late frost in spring. Generally, the ground temperature is stable above 10℃, and the night temperature is stable above 15℃. Autumn tomatoes should be planted after beginning of autumn, and all fruits should be harvested before winter to avoid freezing. The planting period of early-maturing tomatoes in plastic greenhouse in spring should be determined according to the microclimate conditions in the greenhouse. When the ground temperature of 10 cm is stable above 10℃ for 5 ~ 7 days, it can be planted. If temporary heating or other heat preservation measures are adopted, such as putting up a shed, wrapping grass felt, adding a second film or hot stove in the greenhouse, the planting date can be advanced by 7 ~ 10 days. Winter and spring crops in solar greenhouses are generally planted in North China from mid-June to mid-February, and most of them are planted in Northeast China in February. Generally, indoor ground temperature 10 cm is needed for planting to stably pass through 13℃. Solar greenhouses are generally planted in autumn and winter from August to September.

(2) Common colonization methods

(1) Dig a pit and water it. According to the plant spacing, plant seedlings in the pit and water them, and seal the pit after the water seeps down.

(2) Hydroponics. First, water the border or ditch, plant seedlings at a certain distance when the water is not completely infiltrated, and seal the border after the water is infiltrated.

③ Open water culture. Plant seedlings according to the border or border, seal the soil and water the border or border.

④ Ditching and planting seedlings. Trenching shall be carried out at a certain row spacing with a depth of 10 ~ 12 cm. Seedlings are planted in ditches at a certain spacing and irrigated. After water seepage, the trench should be covered with soil and sealed.
