At present, the speed of typhoon is slow, and the landing time is delayed from evening to midnight. Typhoon intensity, landing point and path after landing maintain the original forecast. It still has obvious wind and rain impact on this city and Taihu Lake.

This year's No.8 typhoon "Morakot" was centered at the Taiwan Province Strait about 100 km south-east of Xiapu County, Fujian Province at 05: 00 today, which is 25.8 degrees north latitude and 120.5 degrees east longitude. The maximum wind force near the center is12 (35m/s), and the radius of the 7-level gale circle is 380km 65438+. At present, the typhoon center is moving to the northwest at a speed of about 5 ~ 10 km per hour. It is expected that Morakot will land between Lianjiang, Fujian and Yueqing, Zhejiang from this evening to midnight, and it will be a strong tropical storm when landing. After that, it continued to move to the north, weakened in intensity, crossed the Taihu Lake basin at night on 10, and then turned northeast into the Yellow Sea.

Wind and rain forecast for this city: It is predicted that Morakot will have obvious wind and rain impact on this city from the evening of 9th to 10. The process rainfall can reach rainstorm (70-90 mm) and local rainstorm (100- 150 mm), and the urban wind will gradually strengthen to 6-8, and the Yangtze River estuary and coastal areas along the Yangtze River will be 7-9.
