What is cephalic neuralgia?
Neuropathic headache mainly refers to tension headache, functional headache and angioneurotic headache, which are mostly caused by mental tension and anger. The main symptoms are persistent headache, oppressive feeling and heavy feeling, and some patients complain of "tightening" feeling in the head. Most patients have bilateral headaches, mostly in the temporal side, occipital part, top of the head or the whole head. The nature of headache is dull pain, swelling pain, oppressive feeling, numbness and banded contraction. The intensity of headache is mild to moderate, and it is rarely bedridden or affects daily life. Some patients may have a headache for several years, and some patients' symptoms can even be traced back to 10-20 years. Patients can have a headache all day, and the headache lasts longer than painless. Factors such as excitement, anger, insomnia, anxiety or depression often aggravate headaches. There are also some patients who not only have the characteristics of muscle tension headache, but also have the clinical manifestations of vascular headache, complaining of bilateral temporal pulsatile headache. This clinical manifestation of tension headache and vascular headache is called mixed headache. Most patients are accompanied by dizziness, irritability, anxiety, palpitation, shortness of breath, fear, tinnitus, insomnia, dreaminess, backache, neck stiffness and other symptoms. Some patients have obvious tenderness points on both sides of the neck and occipital or temporal side. Generally speaking, women are the majority, and they are prone to attack when they are tired, the weather changes suddenly, and their sleep is unstable. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is a problem of blood flow, and recommends drugs that detoxify and nourish essence. Western medicine believes that it is a problem of cerebral vascular wall, and generally recommends drugs to soften blood vessels and reduce blood viscosity. But the most important thing is to pay attention to self-cultivation, avoid fatigue, cold and heat, excessive exercise, especially eye fatigue, do eye massage regularly, don't sleep on soft or hard pillows, find some books on acupuncture points, and massage several important acupuncture points on the head. In addition, don't be greedy for cold, drink less tea or coffee and so on. Find out the neuropsychological factors leading to headache, and give psychological treatment or psychological guidance, combined with neuromuscular relaxation training or comprehensive relaxation measures and comprehensive physical therapy.
