The width from north to south is about 12km, and the length from east to west is about 25km. The easternmost part of the area is Qiaojia Village in Guanshan Town, the westernmost part is Liucun, the director of Zhenxing Street Office, the southernmost part is Qiaodong Village in Beitun Street Office, and the northernmost part is Xiwang Village in Guanshan Town. The plane outline is slightly rectangular in the east-west direction, shaped like a lying cow, with its head east and tail west, and its jurisdiction area is 244.4 square kilometers.
This area is a suburb under the jurisdiction of Xi 'an, located in the northeast of the city, north of Weihe River, 50 kilometers away from the city. The territory is a warm temperate semi-humid monsoon climate with four distinct seasons; Ishikawa River and other three rivers belong to the Weihe River system in the Yellow River Basin. The loess cover on the surface is broad and deep, with rich soil types, long farming history and rich products. Superior geographical environment and abundant natural resources provide a material foundation for the development of agriculture, aviation industry and other industries in the whole region.
geology
The geology of this area belongs to the Quaternary strata about 2.5 million years ago. The lithology is coarse-grained deposition dominated by gravel and soil-like accumulation dominated by loess, and the main sources are aeolian, alluvial and diluvial; It is also caused by gravity accumulation of glaciers and landslides. The sedimentary thickness gradually increases from southeast to northwest, with an average thickness of 840 meters.
The geological fault structure in China belongs to the Kouzhen-Guanshan fault zone in the Weihe fault depression, which runs from Kouzhen in Jingyang County to Guanshan in China, and crosses Weibei Plain from east to west. It consists of several roughly parallel and inclined faults, which were formed in Sinian. In the early stage, it is compressive and torsional, and in the late stage, it is a concealed active fault zone. The descent rate is 2 mm/year, which is obvious on satellite images. Geophysical exploration shows that it belongs to gravity anomaly dense zone. The terrain forms an obvious loess slope. This fault zone is mainly composed of Yanliang-Guanshan fault zone in China.
topography
The geomorphological features of this area are as follows: First, it is high in the north and low in the south, showing a ladder shape, with little difference. The highest point is East Taiping Village, Zhenxing Township, Loess Plateau in the north, with an altitude of 483.2 meters; The lowest point is Erlongkou at the intersection of Shichuan River and Qinghe River in Wutun Town, with an altitude of 351.7m. The maximum relative height difference in this area is only131.5m. Second, it is controlled by the strike of Qinling Mountain and Weihe River, and all kinds of landforms in the territory extend from east to west, crisscrossing north and south, showing obvious zonal distribution.
There are two basic landforms in this area: plain and loess plateau.
climate
This area is located in the mid-latitude inland zone, influenced by the southern Qinling Mountains, and belongs to the continental temperate semi-arid and semi-humid climate zone. The four seasons are wet, cold and warm, the spring is mild and windy, and the temperature rises early and quickly, which is prone to strong wind, floating dust, spring drought and cold wave cooling weather; Hot summer, high temperature, abundant sunshine, concentrated rainfall and drought in summer; In autumn, the temperature drops quickly, it is cooler and wetter, and there are many rainy days. Winter is cold and dry, with little rain and snow.
hydrology
There are three main transit rivers in China, namely, Shichuan River, Qinghe River and Weizi River, all of which originate in the mountainous area of Weibei Mountain and flow through the plain area of China to Weihe River from northwest to southeast, all of which belong to the Yellow River system.
land
The natural soil in China belongs to cinnamon soil, which is an extension of the vast cinnamon soil belt in northern China to the northwest. Due to the long history of agriculture in China, the original cinnamon soil has gradually evolved into loessial soil during the long-term cultivation and maturity of human beings, especially under the cover of soil and manure accumulation. The difference of landform types and hydrogeological conditions, and the length of farming history have formed a soil structure dominated by loessial soil and silt. The soil area of the whole region is 267,788.4 mu, accounting for 73% of the total area of the whole region.
plant
The vegetation in the territory has a long history and a wide variety. It was originally a single source of forest vegetation. As early as 8,000 years ago, during the period of the old Guantai culture, the ancestors carried out production activities along the Ishikawa River. During the Yangshao culture period from 6,000 to 7,000 years ago, the ancestors reclaimed and planted this land, constantly expanding and developing cultivated vegetation, and gradually changed the face of natural vegetation. Therefore, the vegetation in the whole area is characterized by good natural conditions, but insufficient resources, and artificial vegetation has great potential.
animal
Most of the territory is plain, only the northern part is terrace, with numerous gullies and few kinds of wild animals, such as wolves, Yellow weasel, foxes, rabbits, badgers, bats and mice.
Birds and wild birds mainly include sparrows, magpies, wild pigeons, turtledoves, cuckoos, swallows, woodpeckers, crows, kites, geese, owls, thrushes, larks, goshawks, Chinese Pulsatilla, orioles, quails and wild ducks.
insect
There are ladybugs (eating aphids), Trichogramma (eating cotton aphids), cabbage moth (eating cotton bollworm), ants, mosquitoes, flies, bees, geckos, frogs, toads, snakes, silkworms, scorpions, centipedes, and many other agricultural and forestry pests.
aquatic animal
Fish in the territory are distributed in Shichuan, Weizihe and Qinghe, and the main species are carp, grass carp, silver carp, crucian carp, turtle, crab, clam and shrimp. After the 1960s, due to the drying up and pollution of rivers, the ecology was destroyed and there were few fish. However, with the prosperity of artificial aquaculture, there are more and more aquatic animals.
natural disaster
There are many kinds of natural disasters in China since ancient times, mainly including drought, flood, wind disaster, hail, frost, insect disaster and earthquake. Among them, drought accounts for 83% of the total natural disasters, flood accounts for 9. 1%, wind disaster accounts for 7%, hail and other disasters account for 0.9%.
