Tianshui Town, Huan County, located at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia provinces (regions), is the northernmost town in Qingyang area. After 1980, with the northern mountainous areas of Huachi, Huanxian and Zhenyuan being identified as semi-agricultural and semi-pastoral areas, animal husbandry quickly became the pillar industry here. The frontier of Tianshui town is the animal husbandry industrial base in Qingyang area, adjacent to Ningxia and northern Shaanxi where animal husbandry is developed. It is the largest livestock products trading market in Qingyang area so far, and the livestock products trading, mainly wool, cashmere and leather, has spread all over the five districts of Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai and Xinjiang in the northwest of China.
