Why is Yuxi windy?

There are several reasons for the strong wind in Yuxi:

1. In spring, the south branch trough in the westerly circulation south of 30 degrees north latitude in the northern hemisphere is gradually active. When the south branch trough moves eastward, it is easy to cause strong winds where it passes;

2. In spring, the solar radiation increases, the weather is clear, and the ground temperature rises rapidly during the day, which strengthens the pressure gradient between the ground thermal low pressure and its adjacent ground cold high pressure, leading to strong winds in the area with the strongest pressure gradient;

3. When the strong ground pressure changes, strong wind will form in the variable pressure field;

4. In the afternoon, due to the high temperature on the ground, the convection between the upper and lower air is strong, and the momentum of the high-altitude wind is transmitted to generate strong winds;
