Kurdistan problem

Kurdistan (Kurdish: Kurdistan, meaning "the land of Kurds") is an area that spans the mountains of Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria, and has always been a place where Kurds live in compact communities. Kurds have been striving to establish a state in Kurdistan, but they have been suppressed by four governments.

[Edit] History

Kurdistan was originally a province of the Ottoman Roman Empire. It turned out that the Otto Empire promised to make Kurds and Armenia independent together after World War I. However, in the Treaty of Lausanne, the interests of Kurds were betrayed, except that most of the region was still ruled by the Otto Empire, and the eastern region was divided between Persia and Britain-occupied Iraq.
