Walking 250 kilometers around the lake, with a total area of 638 square kilometers. Located in the southeast of northern Tibet Plateau, at the northern foot of Nyainqentanglha Mountain, in Dangxiong County and Bango County of Xizang Autonomous Region.
Lake Namco is supplemented by the melting of snow and ice in Nyainqentanglha Mountain, and many streams are injected along the lake. The lake is clear and transparent, and the lake is sky blue. Water and sky are the same color, as if you were in a fairyland. In the early morning, the lake is misty, the surrounding mountains are looming, the sun rises, the clouds disappear, the breeze blows, and the vast lake ripples, just like a kind fairy waving a plain towel and watching the people coming and going. At this time, the main peak of Nyainqentanglha Mountain is particularly clear. The pasture is light green, the mountains are red and black, and the peaks are snowy. The main peak guards the wooden lake like a powerful warrior. The plateau climate changes rapidly, sometimes windy, sometimes dark clouds cover the sky. After the snowstorm, the lake is still sparkling. The white snow of Nyainqentanglha Mountain in the distance of Namco shows the sacredness and grandeur of this mountain! Nyainqentanglha Mountain is more handsome and upright because of Namco's foil, and Namco is more beautiful and moving because of the reflection of Nyainqentanglha Mountain.
Located 20 kilometers southeast of Feng Qi, Yongcuo in Mabian, Gangrenbo, known as the "Holy Mountain", is the highest freshwater lake in the world, with an altitude of 4,588 meters, an area of 4 12 square kilometers and the deepest point of 70 meters. When the weather is fine, the lake is blue and rippling, and the white clouds and snow peaks are reflected in it. The distant mountains around the lake are faintly visible and the scenery is very beautiful.
According to Indian legend, this is the place where the great god Shiva and his wife Uma, the daughter of the Himalayas, bathe. They believe that the lake water comes directly from the melting snow on the mountain and is holy water. Bathing with it can remove the five poisons in people's hearts, the filth on the skin and make people's hearts pure. The ancient legend in Tibet holds that this is the place where Guang Cai Dragon God lived, and there are many treasures gathered in the Dragon Palace. People who come here for pilgrimage can get a small fish, a small stone and a feather in the lake as long as they walk around the lake or around the lake. Mabang Yongcuo, also known as Mafa Yongcuo, means "eternal and unbeaten Jasper Lake" in Tibetan.
Xuanzang, a monk in the Tang Dynasty, called Ma Bangyong CuO the "West Heaven Yaochi". The lake known as the "mother of the world's rivers" in Buddhist classics refers to it.
Pilgrims have always regarded bathing in this lake as their greatest blessing. The ashes of the famous Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi were also scattered in Lake Mabangyong. Therefore, every summer, pilgrims from India, Nepal and Tibet come here to make a pilgrimage and bathe for merit. They also took the water from the holy lake home as a precious gift for relatives and friends.
There are four water sources around the holy lake, namely Maquan River in the east, Shiquan River in the north, Xiangquan River in the west and Peacock River in the south. They are named after four sacred objects in the kingdom of heaven, namely, the famous Ganges, Indus, Satlej and Yarlung Zangbo rivers.
