It is not illegal to run a red light in foggy weather, as follows:

1. There are auditing standards for traffic violation penalties for running red lights. Under special circumstances, the traffic police department will not punish traffic violations that affect the owner's sight;

2. If the weather conditions are too bad, even the electronic police with high-definition probes can't take clear pictures of the scene, and the traffic police department generally won't approve the pictures taken by the electronic police during the audit, nor will it be punished accordingly.
