After the Guangzhou-Shaanxi Expressway is completed and opened to traffic, the distance between Chengdu and xi 'an Expressway is about 700 kilometers (Xi 'an-Qipanguan is 363 kilometers, and Sichuan-Shaanxi border-Chengdu is nearly 340 kilometers). At present, the speed limits of various sections of expressway are: 80~ 100 km/h in Sichuan section, 80 km/h in Xihan Expressway (60 km/h in some sections) and Hanning. According to this estimate, it only takes about 9 hours to drive from Xi to Chengdu. The specific driving route is: Xi 'an-Hanzhong-Ningqiang-Qipanguan-Guangyuan-Mianyang-Chengdu.
The second special line of Mian-Guang Expressway (national highway 108 Guangyuan-Qipanguan section) is still used as a local highway and will become an emergency passage of Guangzhou-Shaanxi Expressway to cope with the emergency of Guangzhou-Shaanxi Expressway in snow and ice weather and traffic jam.
