1, Nengren Temple in Chongqing

Address: Nengren Temple is located at No.92 Zhonghua Road, Yuzhong District.

Nengren Temple is a large-scale Zhong Ni temple in Chongqing, which was founded in the Ming Dynasty and was originally named "Three Churches". In ancient times, it was Haiyun Temple. In the 12th year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (1886), it is now Zhonghua Road, which was called Liu Yang Street. In the location of Nengren Temple, it is marked as three churches.

1920s, renamed Nengren Temple. There are four temples in Nengren Temple, which are Shutuo Hall, Guanyin Hall, Zutang Hall and Zen Hall in turn. 1926, when the abbot was able to shine, the descendants temple was changed into a ten-square jungle. Before liberation, there were more than 10 Zhongni people living in the temple, with many followers and constant incense all the year round.

2. Jinyun Temple

Address: Jinyun Temple is located in Beibei, Chongqing.

It is located in Jinyun Mountain, a Buddhist resort with a history of 1500 years. It was founded in the first year of Jingping, Liu Song, Southern Dynasties (423), and was later called Acacia Temple, Chongsheng Temple and Chongjiao Temple, which were awarded by emperors in previous dynasties. Jinyun Temple is the only Ye Jia ancient Buddhist Dojo in China. Running a school since ancient times, it is called Jinyun Academy.

Jinyun Temple is the only Ye Jia ancient Buddha Dojo in China, so the Buddha statue enshrined in the main hall is not the teacher of Sakyamuni Buddha, but the former teacher of Sakyamuni Buddha-Ye Jia ancient Buddha. The ancient Buddha of Ye Jia in the Hall of Ursa Major, standing in the 22nd year of Kangxi, is about two meters high. Brahma on the left represents the desire for dharma, and Indra on the right represents the color dharma, all of which are statues of the Qing Dynasty.

3. Tianxin Temple

Address: Tianxingsi Town, Banan District, Chongqing

Lotus Mountain, the natural formation of lotus, has a certain fit with the Buddhist lotus Buddha platform, and the wonder of lotus is unique in Chongqing. Tianxin Temple, named Tianxin, has unfathomable Buddhist meaning.

Tianxin Temple is a district-level protected cultural relic. According to the records of Banan Annals of Xiang Chu, Tianxin Temple was built in Chongzhen period of Ming Dynasty. During Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty (1867), Guandi Hall was renovated and built, Daxiong Hall was built in the third year of the Republic of China, and Dharma Hall was rebuilt in the fifteenth year of the Republic of China. Before liberation, it was one of the four Buddhist holy places in Chongqing, and many important Buddhist activities were held here.

4. Ciyun Temple

Address: At the foot of Lion Mountain, Tan Xuan Temple, Nan 'an District, Chongqing.

Ciyun Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. It was Kannonji. 1927, Master Yunyan raised funds to expand and renamed Ciyun Temple, which was the only Buddhist temple in China at that time. Ciyun Temple is a unique Buddhist temple in China.

There are 18 pavilions, main halls, Pu Xian Hall, Liushu Hall, Guanyin Hall, Wei Tuo Hall, Thousand Hands Guanyin Hall and ancient Buddha Cave. The jade Buddha, King Kong House, thousands of Buddha clothes, Tibetan scriptures, Bodhi trees and other cultural relics in the temple are also known as the five wonders.

5. Big Buddha Temple

Address: at the foot of Dingming Mountain, northwest of Tongnan County 1.5km.

There is a giant Buddha in the Big Buddha Temple, which stands on the mountain and is carved from rocks. The Buddha sat on the top of the rock, smiling, nodding and meditating. It has become the second largest Buddha in Bashu after Leshan Giant Buddha and now the largest Buddha in Chongqing. It used to be the symbol of the opening of Chongqing TV weather forecast program.
