It’s appropriate to go to Shanghai for a few days.
If you are a foreigner coming to Shanghai, but you only have 72 hours to visit in Shanghai, how should you visit Shanghai?
Here, let us carefully arrange an itinerary for you to travel around Shanghai in just three days. But you have to be mentally prepared, you will be playing non-stop, just looking at the flowers, and just glancing at the water. Your NIKE AIR running shoes can come in handy.
Taxes are the main means of transportation. Taking a taxi in Shanghai is very cheap, starting at 10 yuan for 3 kilometers. If you follow the route we have arranged for you, the fare per car should be within 20 yuan (except for the third day of the trip).
If you take a morning flight to Shanghai Pudong International Airport, it will take about an hour to take a taxi to the city center.
The first day: Huaihai Road, Xiangyang Road Clothing Market, Chenghuang Temple, Xintiandi, dinner, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, The Bund, JAZZ CLUB, Maoming Road Bar Street.
When you have checked in at the hotel and settled down, it should be lunch time. Your first day of programming should begin after lunch at approximately 2:00pm. You can call to reserve dinner seats for the first and second days before the trip begins. At 6:30pm on the first night, you can go to Xinchishi in Xintiandi to enjoy your dinner. You can dine at Xujiahui "Shanghai Old Station" at 6:30pm the next day.
The first stop after lunch is the famous commercial street - Huaihai Road. I suggest you take a taxi and get off at the junction of Huaihai Road and Maoming South Road, and then walk along Huaihai Road towards the Xiangyang Road Clothing Market. This short 20-minute trip to Huaihai Road allows you to feel the prosperity and grace of Shanghai.
When you come to Xiangyang Road Clothing Market, you can enter from the side door on Huaihai Road, and when you go out, you can take the main entrance on Xiangyang Road. In the past, there was a famous Huating Road shopping street in Shanghai, which was famous for selling counterfeit goods. All the small shops on this road were moved by the city government to the Xiangyang Road Clothing Market last year. You can find many fake and cheap goods here, which are both cheap and beautiful. But don't get carried away with shopping, because you can only stay here for 40 minutes before rushing to the next stop - the City God Temple.
There are many shops selling handicrafts in the Chenghuang Temple area. I recommend everyone to take a "fine" tour of Jiuquqiao and nearby streets and taste the famous Nanxiang Xiaolongbao. If you particularly like old-fashioned Chinese gardening, you can also visit Yuyuan Garden. After staying at the Chenghuang Temple for an hour, it should already be 5:00pm. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Xintiandi from here.
Xintiandi occupies a vast area and the second phase has recently opened. Here you can see the renovated and renovated old houses with old-style Shikumen that are very characteristic of Shanghai. There is a wonderful feeling of combining Chinese and Western styles. This is a bit like Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong. In the evening, the place is full of beautiful men and women in fashionable clothes, bustling with people. "Shanghai East Charm" opened by Jackie Chan and other Hong Kong stars and many famous stores are here. The famous National Congress of the Communist Party of China is also located on Xingye Road behind. You can walk back and forth in the alleys here. At 6:30pm, we went to Xinjishi for dinner.
After dinner, at about 8:00pm, take a taxi to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. At this time, the neon lights of the pedestrian street are shining and extremely beautiful. You can walk east along the pedestrian street to reach the Bund. Along the way, you pass the bustling Nanjing Road and the famous Peace Hotel.
It takes about 30 minutes to walk slowly from the pedestrian street to the Bund. When you reach the Bund, you will reach the beautiful Puxi Riverside Avenue through the pedestrian tunnel. Standing on the Huangpu River, you can enjoy the charming night views of Pudong and Puxi. The beautiful scenery of the Bund, known as the "Paris of the East", comes into view. Around 9:30pm, you can return along the pedestrian tunnel you just walked through. Come to the JAZZ CLUB of the Peace Hotel to enjoy jazz music. The consumption per person is about 100 yuan. It is reported that the band playing here is the same age as this CLUB.
For those who are energetic, you can go to Maoming Road Bar Street around 10:30pm to experience Shanghai’s nightlife. But remember, don’t be too tired tonight because you have to get up early to go to Zhujiajiao tomorrow.
The next day: Zhujiajiao, Xujiahui.
The luxury bus to Zhujiajiao departs from Xujiahui Ten Thousand People Stadium every 30 minutes from 7:30am to 11:00am every day. The journey takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. There are more people on holidays or weekends. We recommend that you arrive at the station as early as possible to buy tickets and take the 8:30am shuttle bus. The adult package ticket (including round-trip tickets and tickets for various attractions) is 70 yuan, and children under 1 meter are free of charge.
Take a taxi from Xujiahui Ten Thousand People Stadium to Zhujiajiao. The fare can be discussed with the driver. In my experience, the minimum fare is 120 yuan.
Although Zhujiajiao is slightly less famous than Zhouzhuang and is basically the same, Zhujiajiao is relatively quiet and does not have as heavy a commercial atmosphere as Zhouzhuang.
There are nine scenic spots in Zhujiajiao***. I suggest you don't have lunch at the restaurants there. There are many small shops selling rice dumplings and meat. You might as well have a cup of tea in the store and eat rice dumplings for lunch. I hope to visit all the scenic spots before 3:30pm and take the 4:00pm bus back to Shanghai.
We should return to Xujiahui around 5:30pm. Although you are feeling a little tired, this "Iron Man" tour group will continue its journey.
The place where you get off the bus belongs to Xujiahui.
You can take a casual tour of Xujiahui. Take a taxi from Ten Thousand People Stadium to "Ganghui Plaza" in Xujiahui Commercial Center. The fare is about 12 yuan.
There are several large shopping malls in Xujiahui Commercial District. It will be very beautiful when all the lights are on at night, and you can only stay here for 30 minutes.
For dinner, we will have Shanghainese cuisine at the unique "Shanghai Old Station". If you want to eat on a train meal card, be sure to make arrangements when making a reservation.
After dinner, you will start your nightlife tonight. It costs about 18 yuan to take a taxi from "Shanghai Old Station" to Ruijin Hotel. There is Shanghai's famous FACE bar here. Behind Ruijin Hotel is the Bar Street on Maoming South Road. This street is very short and is as crowded as Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong during holidays and weekends.
The last show tonight is PARK97 Bar/DISCO in Fuxing Park. This is the shop where beauties hang out the most. On holiday eves or weekends, there may be lines outside the door to get in. A glass of wine here costs 40 to 60 yuan.
On the third day, Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Tower, lunch, Duolun Road, the end of the trip.
You should check out of the hotel early today. Our trip will start at 10:00am. If your hotel is in Puxi, to take a taxi to the Oriental Pearl Tower, you should take the Yan'an Road Cross-River Tunnel. The fare is about 28 yuan.
The Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Jinmao Tower are both located in the Lujiazui Financial Center in Pudong. We recommend not going up to the Pearl Tower, but to the 88th floor of the Jin Mao Tower to enjoy the panoramic view of Shanghai. If the weather is bad, there is no need to go up, because the top floor of the Jin Mao Tower will be surrounded by clouds and fog, and you will not be able to see anything. Lunch was at Kaihua Restaurant on the third floor of the Bank of China Building next to the Pearl Tower. The entrance of this restaurant is difficult to find, and there is no big sign, but if you can find the entrance of the building, you will definitely find this restaurant. The Hong Kong-style dim sum here for 5 yuan is excellent, but you may have to wait for a table.
If you can finish lunch before 2:00pm, you can continue to the next attraction "Duolun Road". Duolun Road is in Hongkou District. The taxi fare should be within 30 yuan. This is a famous cultural street with famous old movie bars and the footprints left by many famous literati. You can only stay here for about 40 minutes at most. You must start back to the hotel before 3:30pm to collect your luggage and prepare to go to the airport.
Note: It takes about an hour by taxi from a city center hotel to Pudong International Airport. I recommend that you depart from the hotel two and a half hours before departure.
