Liquan County governs 1 1 town and four townships: Chengguan Town, Shide Town, Xizhangbao Town, Qiandong Town, Huofeng Town, Xia Yan Town, Zhao Zhen Town, Jianling Town, Chigan Town, Nanfang Town, Shitan Town, Yaowangdong Township, New Town, Ma Jun Township and Zhaoling Township.

Liquan County is located between east longitude10817 ′ 40 ″-10841′ 46 ″ and north latitude 34 20 ′ 50 ″-34 50 ′ 02 ″, belonging to the middle of Guanzhong Plain.
