What is heat stroke?
Heat stroke refers to the central nervous system and ( or) Acute diseases in which cardiovascular dysfunction is the main manifestation.
It mainly occurs in summer (i.e. June to August). Summer weather is hot, with the average daily temperature >30 degrees Celsius, or relative humidity >73%. When the temperature and humidity are both high, the probability of heat stroke will increase significantly.
In recent years, the global climate has gradually warmed, and heatstroke has occurred in various parts of the world. my country's tropical and subtropical areas are relatively large, the degree of urbanization is getting higher and higher, and the urban population is becoming increasingly dense, resulting in the "urban heat island effect", and the incidence of heat stroke among urban residents is also gradually increasing.
Methods to prevent heatstroke
1. Wear some breathable clothing. Clothes made of cotton, silk, or linen are the first choice. Wearing them does not worry about covering up the body. Even if you sweat a lot, you will feel cool because the sweat evaporates faster.
2. Wear light-colored clothes when going out. I believe many people know that light-colored clothes can protect you from the sun. Avoid wearing black and blue clothes. Black and blue clothes absorb heat quickly and dissipate heat slowly.
3. Don’t bare your arms. Many people think that this will be cooler, but in fact this may cause the skin to absorb more heat. After all, the temperature of the arms is generally lower than indoors.
4. Close the curtains. If the outdoor temperature is too high, you can also prevent heatstroke by closing all the curtains at home. It is best to choose light-colored curtain fabrics. However, it is better to open the windows for ventilation in the morning and evening, and close the doors and windows at noon.
5. Take a bath with warm water. Taking a cold bath in summer is the most refreshing, but in fact, it is better to take a warm bath in the dog days of summer. The water temperature should be kept at 35°C to 37°C. This temperature is higher than the skin temperature, but lower than the body temperature. In this way, the human body dissipates heat faster.
