Gobi is blessed when it rains (1)

Rain, for a person born and raised in the south, is absolutely unaccustomed. However, in many parts of China, rain is a gift from heaven. Dunhuang Gobi belongs to this place with little water and rain. Dunhuang is located in the northwest of China and belongs to a typical temperate continental climate. The average annual precipitation is about 42.2 mm, but the evaporation is as high as 2505 mm, which is one of the driest areas in China. However, due to the extremely harsh ecological environment in the Gobi Desert, rain has become a very, very rare phenomenon. Especially in summer and autumn, it hardly rains in the Gobi Desert. Some friends will ask: Will it rain in the Gobi Desert? The answer is yes, but because the desert is very dry and hot, the water vapor carried by rain clouds usually evaporates before landing. Therefore, in the hot and dry Gobi desert, you may just feel a cool and humid air, but for the extremely dry Gobi desert, it may have rained.

Many local people born and raised in Dunhuang will shine at the mention of the rain in Gobi, which shows that they are also very much looking forward to and grateful for this phenomenon. Many people have lived in Dunhuang for most of their lives and have hardly seen the rain. Thanks to God's care, foreigners who came to the Gobi Desert for the second time were fortunate enough to experience a moderate rain in the Gobi Desert. This is a blessing.

This year's sudden outbreak has greatly impacted many industries, and it has also given me the confidence to embark on a hiking trip in Dunhuang Gobi again. The journey in Gobi is very bitter and refreshing, and it is also a good journey of self-cultivation and adjustment. While measuring Gobi with my feet, I also found my initial heart and strength to start a new business. What makes me most grateful is that during the 88-kilometer trek, I actually met a rain that never happened in Gobi for ten years.

I remember it was the third day of the 22-kilometer journey, and we set off at eight in the morning. Because the temperature in the morning is usually cooler and walking is more comfortable, we usually take advantage of the pleasant weather in the morning and walk as much as possible. However, we were surprised to find that the temperature was relatively cool and comfortable after walking for almost two hours. According to the usual temperature, the temperature in the Gobi desert will rise rapidly about 2 hours after departure, that is, about 10 in the morning. Today is special. Although the clear sky in Wan Li is clear, it is neither cold nor hot, and the breeze blows all the way, which is very comfortable. We walked all the way, admiring the undulating sand dunes under the blue sky and white clouds. From all angles, this is a beautiful and suffocating picture. I believe that any photo taken casually can be used as a computer mural.
