What are the words to describe the cold weather?

extreme cold: describes the weather in the north. Ex.: Daxinganling is extremely cold in winter. It snows almost every day, and the whole mountain is white.

chilly: describes that cold air makes people. Note: it also means being mean and having sharp words.

chill: (book) describes slight chill. It is often said that spring is chilly. Ex.: He looked very shocked in the cold wind.
