Fishing skills in southern winter

1. Climate choice of chasing the sun

Climate has a direct impact on fish's food intake, so it is necessary to choose sunny weather for fishing in winter. Sunlight shines on the water surface, providing heat, and the water temperature will rise, and fish will naturally swim to a shallow water level to bask in the sun and feed. This kind of weather sometimes works well in shallow water near the edge of aquatic plants (about 1 m). Fishing in winter is also leeward. Compared with the dark and windy places, the temperature difference between the sunny and leeward places is 5 ~ 10℃. When the fisherman got off the hook in a sunny place with trees, houses, tall buildings, etc. He is sure to catch fish. Fishing time should be arranged from 10 am to 3 pm, because this is the time when the temperature is the highest and the fish are the most active. You can also choose foggy days. Fog indicates that the weather will get better, the temperature will rise, and water will also increase dissolved oxygen. Fish are relatively active in such weather.

2. The fishing depth should be moderate.

In winter, affected by the cold wave, the water temperature in the middle and upper layers of water drops rapidly and the temperature is low; Due to geothermal action, the bottom layer of water is slightly higher and relatively stable. The angler should consider the water temperature when choosing the fishing position. Generally, the fishing position should be 5 ~ 8 meters offshore and the water depth should be 3 ~ 5 meters. The water is too shallow, and fish are afraid of cold, so they will not easily enter the shallow water to eat. The water is too deep and the underwater light is dim, so it is not easy for fish to find the food on the hook, so the fishing position should be moderate. In addition, when choosing the location, you should try to choose places with obstacles, such as bamboo piles, caves, sunken ships, piers, underwater debris and so on. These obstacles have the function of blocking water flow and are not directly affected by cold water. Nature is the best nest for fish to protect themselves for the winter.

3. The choice of fishing gear should be reasonable.

If you want to catch more fish in winter fishing, the first thing is the choice of fishing tackle. First, according to the habits and characteristics of fish's winter activities, you should consider choosing "small hook and thin line, light drop and small drift" to improve the sensitivity of fishing tackle. The hand pole used should be light. Generally, the hook of Yi Shi Ni 1-3 is used, and the line of 0.4- 1 can be selected. The floating should be as small as possible, and the spirit should be adjusted and grasped. Once the float moves, it must be released decisively.

Step 4 put the bait away

Generally speaking, there is less feeding in shallow water and more feeding in deep water. If you nest in deep water in winter, it will be difficult to get the bait in place without it, so the amount of bait is a little more than that in other three seasons. It usually takes about 2 hours to update the nest. Because the water is clear in winter, the interference between people and animals is reduced, and the fish will be disturbed by slight noise when feeding, so it is impossible to feed and re-feed frequently in winter. After baiting, anglers should go into battle lightly and avoid running, jumping, laughing and shouting to disturb the fish.

5. Try to use meat bait as bait.

In winter, fish are so quiet and restless that their appetite is poor. Sometimes they throw bait into their mouths and don't want to open their mouths, which requires fishermen to be attractive enough to choose bait. Nematodes and red earthworms are the best bait for catching crucian carp in winter in southern China (except in fertile waters). Live nematodes and red earthworms will keep swinging when hanging on the hook, which can play a role in teasing the fish. Put live bait with nematodes and red earthworms into the water, sometimes the fish still don't bite. At this time, the fisherman can gently and slowly pull the fishing line up and down, back and forth, left and right. Pull vertically up and down, and the bait will not shift in the nest. Lift bait 15 ~ 20cm in situ, and then put it down for three or four times continuously. You can also drag the bottom around the fishing position and move 30 ~ 50 cm at a time. No matter which traction method, its purpose is to lure the fish to the bait, which can greatly improve the bait rate.
