What does smog mean?

Haze weather is a state of air pollution, and smog is a general term for all kinds of suspended particles in the atmosphere, especially PM2.5 (particles with aerodynamic equivalent diameter less than or equal to 2.5 microns) is considered as the "culprit" causing haze weather.

Haze is mainly composed of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and inhalable particles. The first two are gaseous pollutants, and the last particulate matter is the main reason for aggravating smog weather pollution. Together with the fog, they make the sky gloomy in an instant.

How to prevent smog

1. Planting green plants

There are many kinds of green plants at home. Everyone knows that green plants can purify the air. You can plant green plants in your balcony, living room and bedroom to absorb PM2.5 particles and purify the air.

2. Install purification equipment

If possible, you can install air purification settings on the doors and windows at home, for example, MIA fresh air system. Most air purifiers on the market can purify pollutants in the air, especially PM2.5. After using the air purifier, the filter must be replaced to prevent secondary pollution.

Step 3 reduce going out

During the smog outbreak, don't go out at last, especially the elderly and children, and try to stay at home to reduce the inhalation of PM2.5 particles. Patients with respiratory diseases must not go out. Friends who like morning exercises should not go out to exercise when smog breaks out.

Wear a mask when going out.

When smog breaks out, if you can't stay at home and want to go out, you should protect yourself. It is a good choice to choose a good mask to prevent smog inhalation. It is best to choose a cotton mask.
