Will the weather affect the asphalt pavement construction?

Asphalt pavement cannot be constructed in rainy days. On the one hand, rain will damage asphalt pavement, on the other hand, the temperature of asphalt mixture will drop and the compaction will be incorrect.

Under wet conditions, asphalt pavement is subjected to repeated actions of traffic load and temperature rise and fall. On the one hand, water gradually invades the interface between asphalt and aggregate, and at the same time, due to the action of hydrodynamic force.

The asphalt film gradually peeled off from the surface of aggregate, resulting in the loss of adhesion between aggregates and pavement damage. The main causes of water damage of asphalt pavement are materials, design, construction, soil foundation and base, overloaded vehicles and so on.

The weather has an influence on the paving of asphalt pavement, and its influence is not whether it can be constructed, but mainly the quality of pavement paving. We often find potholes in the newly paved pavement, which is actually related to the weather when asphalt is laid. When there are several unfavorable climatic conditions, it is not suitable for paving asphalt pavement.

First of all, the weather is cold. When the temperature is lower than 5℃, the asphalt solidifies quickly, does not stick to the road surface and cannot be laid.

The second is hot weather. When the temperature is above 30℃, asphalt mucus is not easy to flatten and delaminate.

The third is rainy weather. In rainy days, asphalt does not stick to the road surface and cannot be laid. Even if it doesn't rain when laying, in case of moderate rain or more within two days after laying, asphalt will easily fall off, resulting in potholes on the road surface.

Calculation of asphalt pavement dosage

The weight of asphalt concrete can be multiplied by the volume by the density of asphalt concrete 2. 13-2. 14 tons per square meter. The required asphalt content can be calculated by multiplying the weight of asphalt concrete by the oil content of asphalt concrete mixture. Asphalt surface course (including fine grain, adhesive oil, medium grain, seal coat and prime coat oil): the area surrounded by kerb line and construction scope line of vehicle road is the area range of this part, which is obtained by drawing multi-section wireframe with CAD.

When the surface clinker required for asphalt concrete pavement and black macadam pavement is mixed at a fixed point, the freight required for transporting it to the working face is not included in this project and needs to be calculated separately. Petroleum asphalt and emulsified asphalt should be listed separately in the asphalt injection quota, and the corresponding items should be used according to the design requirements.
