Why is Nanchang so hot?

First, the lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China are located in the subtropical high zone in the northern hemisphere, which is short of water and dry in summer. However, unlike other areas in the same place, China relies on Shangri-La Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to cut off the continuity of this subtropical high, making it play a greater role only in Nanchang and Wuhan surrounding areas, which is why Nanchang is hotter than cities in the same latitude.

Second, Nanchang has a unique terrain. Nanchang is located at the intersection of the two rivers, with flat terrain, but the north is surrounded by small mountains such as Lushan Mountain and Meiling Mountain. The southern monsoon is blowing, which plays a role in stopping the rise. It is easy to form high pressure weather. This is the reason why Nanchang is extremely hot in summer.
