Different departments have different standards for the classification of rainfall grades.

Meteorological department:

Rainstorm: 12 hour rainfall is 30.0mm~69.9mm, and 24-hour rainfall is 50.0 mm ~ 99.9 mm

From rainstorm to heavy rainstorm: 12 hour rainfall is 50.0mm~ 104.9mm, and 24 hour rainfall is 75.0 mm ~174.9 mm.

Rainstorm: 12 hour rainfall 70.0mm~ 140.0mm, 24 hour rainfall100.0 mm ~ 250.0 mm.

Flood control department:

Heavy rain: 12 hour rainfall 30mm ≦ r 12.

Rainstorm: 12 hour rainfall 70mm ≦ r 12

Hydrological department:

Heavy rain: the daily rainfall is 50~99.9 mm.

Heavy rain: daily rainfall100 ~199.9mm.
