The weather in summer is particularly hot, and the pressing sunshine scorches the earth. However, something unusual will happen in this weather to break this situation. In order to conscientiously implement the purpose of college students' "giving love to the community" and improve and cultivate college students' social practice ability and social morality consciousness, we plan to walk into xx community at 8: 00 noon in X1October, go into the nursing home, give love, have activities in send warm, visit the lonely elderly, understand their lives, bring them joy, offer a care for their international spiritual world in their later years, and spread our enthusiasm to the hearts of the elderly. The main purpose of the activity is to carry forward the virtue of respecting the old and loving the young of the Chinese nation. "Respecting the elderly" is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. As college students in the new century, they have the responsibility and obligation to carry forward this virtue.
I benefited a lot from this activity. A vulnerable group in society has made endless ups and downs and tasted the ups and downs of the world in this long life. In the days of life, what they long for is not only a comfortable life, but also their understanding. During the activity, we will prepare students' New Year cards and condolences to the elderly who have worked hard all their lives, and help them clean up, make the yard and their rooms more warm and tidy, and help them pick vegetables and wash radishes. The old people nodded in praise. After that, some of our classmates did some beneficial massages for the elderly, combed their hair and cut their nails, had a long talk with the elderly, kindly asked about their physical condition, helped them solve their difficulties, chatted with them at home, listened to their stories, and talked about the past and the present. The elderly all smiled happily. Tell them to pay attention to their health, sing and entertain them, so that every old man can feel at home and feel the warmth of his family. By communicating with them, we can know their inner excitement about our arrival. In this way, the whole yard is full of laughter and warm current. Half of the students in our class are poor families. In this activity, they all gave these old people unreserved returns from society.
When we are happy, we often forget our limited conditions. The whole morning passed quickly. When we bid farewell to the old people, our classmates and the old people's eyes were wet. The old people hold our hands tightly and don't want to leave each other. They all hope that time can stay at that moment and ask us to come and sit more, but we still have to go. But our hearts are with the elderly, and our love will continue to inherit the virtues of our Chinese nation and publicize respect for the elderly to the society.
Although our simple greetings did not bring anything to the old people, it was not until I saw the photos taken that I found that our words did bring great joy to the old people. Old people need not only material care, but also spiritual comfort, because they easily feel lonely. We had a very happy day, and so did the old man. They open their mouths, tell others their joys and sorrows, and pin their wishes on us, hoping that we can help him realize them. Although we only try our best to help them, we make the old people happy. At the same time, we deeply realize that they don't need too much. All they need is company. If our society can give them more attention, they will be satisfied.
This activity also met with troubles that we didn't know in advance. For example, we didn't contact the dean of the nursing home in advance, and the sudden visit brought inconvenience to the dean, and the shopping plan planned by the dean in advance was disrupted; There is also the failure to take the banner of volunteers in advance, which brings a little shock to the old people; During the activity, some students accidentally wet the yard, and the cold and dry water may freeze in winter, which brings potential danger to the elderly. These small problems will lay the foundation for our future activities, and through summing up again and again, our social practice ability will be gradually improved.

In response to the activity of "Donate One Yuan for Project Hope" jointly sponsored by xx Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, xx Municipal Education Bureau and xx Young Pioneers Working Committee, our school's brigade department, under the leadership of the Party branch and the principal's office, organized and carried out the charity sale donation activity of "Learning from Lei Feng". Due to the vigorous publicity and effective measures of the school, the majority of teachers and students actively participated in the charity sale, carefully prepared the charity sale items, actively participated in the charity sale activities, generously donated money and offered love, and there was a warm scene in which everyone offered love and helped others enthusiastically. With the enthusiastic participation of the students and the joint efforts of * * *, this charity sale raised a total of 2,569.8 yuan, part of which went into the school poverty alleviation fund to help poor students around us. This time, I donated 2400 yuan to students from poor families in our school 12. The students and parents who donated kindly are very grateful. We donated all the remaining money to the charity day donation.
Although the amount raised by the activity is not large and the money is not much, it is affectionate, righteous and touching, which fully embodies the spirit of our students who are full of love and helpful. More importantly, through this activity, the teachers and students of the whole school received a vivid education of learning from Lei Feng, offering love and helping each other. During the activity, students also fully realized that dedication is the most precious emotion in our life, and only by caring for others can we really care for ourselves.
There is love in life, and there is love in the world. As long as everyone gives a love, the world will become a beautiful world.
Although the charity sale has ended, the concept of "micro-donation and micro-public welfare" has been deeply rooted in the hearts of students, and the seeds of kindness have been planted. In the future life, the beautiful flowers of charity and love will bloom.

China people's blood runs through us, branding the essence of Confucianism. So we will also bring our long and heavy humanistic thoughts. Love is the essence. Love is cultivation, culture and beauty in human nature. As the interpretation of love, "respect for the elderly" and "love for the elderly", as the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, deserve our inheritance and development in the new century. In order to understand the life of the elderly, bring happiness to their old age and care for their lonely spiritual world, our students from Huancheng College of Wuhan Institute of Technology carried out a caring activity in Huancheng Student Welfare Institute.
The activity was organized by the Youth League Committee of Huancheng College, consisting of five members 1, led by Mr. Ren Peng, in April of1,20**. It's a pity that the weather was very bad that day, and the cloudy day was accompanied by showers of all sizes, but these did not reduce our interest. On the contrary, it made everyone think that this reflected that we were not afraid of difficulties and braved the wind and rain only for the elderly.
Walking into the welfare home, the fourth to eighth floors of the first building on our right are the places where the elderly in the welfare home live. After greeting the person in charge of the welfare home and putting down the condolences, we quickly divided into five groups, each with three people, responsible for providing care services for the elderly on the first floor. It is understood that the fourth and fifth floors are inhabited by relatively strong elderly people, and the sixth to eighth floors are mostly elderly people who can't take care of themselves in bed.
We shook hands with the old people, communicated intimately, cleaned the room, cut our nails, and massaged our backs, and got the old people's knowing smiles and moved tears. Most of them are talkative. An old man sang a little song for us, and the atmosphere was very harmonious. When he left, the person in charge of the hospital was also very moved. He took a group photo with our party 15 people, teachers and old people, and the activity ended successfully.
This not only cultivated and improved our college students' social practice ability and social morality consciousness, but also established a good image of our college around the city and even our school, which is willing to give love and respect for the elderly, and also promoted the virtue of "respecting and loving the elderly" to all walks of life.
Of course, from this activity, we also found some shortcomings and areas worthy of improvement.
First of all, as this is the first time to go, most things are arranged temporarily by the welfare home. Although it's going well, we still need some ability to plan ahead, such as the distribution of personnel and tasks, as well as some attention problems in the process of condolences and communication with the elderly.
Secondly, according to this understanding, some old people are not native to Hubei, and they are looking forward to having a fellow villager communicate in their hometown dialect. Therefore, it is necessary to mobilize more students from non-community organizations and even the whole school to participate.
Finally, in order to enrich the spiritual life of the elderly, we should prepare some small cultural programs to bring them more happiness and spiritual enjoyment.

When the end of the first semester of college approached, I suddenly received a task that I had to complete in the winter vacation, which was precisely a social practice activity. Personally, I seldom take part in such activities and know little about the so-called social practice. Therefore, inexperienced, I decided to carry out social practice with my classmates this holiday. As far as I have no experience, my first thought about the concept of social practice is to go to a nursing home and try my best to help those elderly people who are in poor health. So when this proposal was put forward, I highly praised it, because it is not only a social practice, but also a meaningful activity to respect and help the elderly! The activity time is scheduled for the first day after the exam, and the location is set at Longmen Nursing Home not far from the school. I look forward to that day very eagerly. Before leaving, the class made a lot of preparations, and the students who participated in the practice gave generously. Everyone chipped in to buy a lot of fruit, a bag of rice and a cup of yogurt as gifts to honor the elderly. So at 7 o'clock in the morning on the 24th, the comrades set off at a brisk pace.
We have to go to the new campus first, and then take bus No.7 at the new campus, with only two stops. Because it's still early, except for a few people who I estimate are working, the whole car is basically classmates in our class. Everyone laughed and laughed all the way, and it felt like a spring outing. Obviously, no one regards this activity as a burden. Everyone regards it as a meaningful thing and is ready to do it well with full enthusiasm and their own efforts.
Finally, the bus arrived at the station. Many of us followed our monitor to the legendary Longmen. I looked around and found this place is a remote place. Although it is generally suitable for rest and good for the elderly, I always feel that such a remote place may not be an ideal place for the elderly with mobility difficulties. But considering that I am not familiar with the community after all, maybe it is also very convenient here, so I put down the idea.
Standing in front of the nursing home, I think the gap between this nursing home and my imagination is too big. Although I have never been to a similar place, in my impression, the nursing home should be a comprehensive building complex similar to a community and a hospital, with only a small central garden and a spacious bungalow. If it weren't for the three big characters at the door, I would have recognized this is a small farmhouse. The environment outside the door is not bad. There is a small river (if it can be called a river, it is more like a fast-drying stream), and egrets (maybe they will act like other birds, but I look like herons) swimming around in the river, sometimes flying to one side. There is little shade, which makes people feel that they are somewhere in a small mountain village.
Old people in nursing homes are very enthusiastic about us. Most grandparents are grinning at us, and a younger (only relatively speaking) grandmother also took the initiative to introduce us to the situation here and the activities of the old people in the day. Despite this enthusiasm, we were still confused for a long time, because we were going to help sweep the floor or tidy up the yard here, but after going in, we found that it was so clean that there was no room for us to intervene. Before that, we didn't think of this at all and didn't make sufficient preparations, so that we stood awkwardly for a long time. The old people seem to see our embarrassment. They invited several of us to play mahjong, poker and chess with them, and the students gradually let go and took the initiative to integrate into the elderly and chat and play cards with them. It seems that I finally got rid of the original embarrassing atmosphere.
I also started a family conversation with an old man. At first, it was me, Ding Jiankang and She Yi chatting with him. We talked about his physical condition, life here and the living habits of other old people here. Ding Health is also very enthusiastic to help the elderly turn up the TV (mainly because there is something wrong with the buttons of that TV, and the elderly can't turn it on). Then they left, and Wang Huaipeng and I chatted with him. We were very surprised to learn that he was a veteran of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, so we asked him to tell us some stories of that year. The old man is very talkative and willing to tell us about the past. Because my grandfather and grandfather Wang Huaipeng are both veterans and we are both relatives in Northeast China, the old man told us some details of the war to resist US aggression and aid Korea and some stories about his return to China in Nanjing. Even taught us to speak a few words of Korean. Although I have basically forgotten it by now, I think this conversation is very interesting. Maybe I can use it when I brag to others in the future!
Through the old man just now, we met another old man. From the appearance, the old man is very old, with numerous wrinkles extending below his neck, skinny figure, almost all his teeth missing, and his ears are a little back. You can tell at a glance that he is an old man with history. It is said that he once attended War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. So we chatted with him again. Because he lost his tooth, his pronunciation was very vague. I could only guess what he said, but I listened to him patiently and probably learned that he was engaged in surveying and mapping in the army, because the old man kept telling us about geography, which was vague but interesting.
I won't go into details after that. In short, everyone is happy. Near noon, we bid farewell to the old people and took photos with them. The old people warmly invited us to have lunch, but some of us wanted to go home in the afternoon, so we politely refused, saying that we would come back to see them in the future.
After experiencing this activity, every student involved must be deeply touched. Recently, the old man is not a word in his mouth, but a thing in his hand. This is my most profound experience of being hit by an arrow this time. Of course, I also hope that everyone will care and care for the elderly around them. Although the nursing home is not simple, I guess the old people still prefer their homes. Perhaps one day, people will really know how to care for and take care of the elderly after the society does not need the formal collective of nursing homes.
