Why is it windy in spring?
Spring in northern China is often dusty, and the beautiful spring scenery is greatly inferior. So, where does the dust in the sky come from?
China's North China Plain has the Loess Plateau in the west and the famous Gobi Desert in the northwest. The loess plateau and desert are full of loose sand. Once the wind blows up the sand, it will be carried into the air. In spring, the northwest wind from Siberia often blows to the north of China. When it passes through the Gobi Desert and the Loess Plateau, it brings sand to the south and makes the North China Plain dusty. At the same time, there is little rain and strong wind in North China in spring, and a lot of loose soil will appear in some parts of North China Plain, which is the reason for some dust.
It will be windy and sandy not only in the north of China, but also in the south sometimes. The sky is grayish yellow, the sunshine becomes blurred, the sky is full of yellow sand, and a very fine layer of sand will fall on the tables and chairs in the house. The most fundamental reason for this situation is the serious destruction of ground vegetation and the low forest coverage rate in China.
