The Historical Evolution of Wang Ben Town

In memory of Comrade Wang Ben, the head of Gaojialu District who died in the 1946 Liberation War. This town used to be a nomadic place in King Dahan Banner. 1947 after liberation, it was divided into the fifth district of Shuangliao County. 1956 was renamed as Wang Ben Township, and 1958 was called Wang Ben People's Commune.

The eastern part of Wang Ben Town is the black land that adapts to the development of green and pollution-free rice in the East Liaohe River Basin. The sandy soil in the West Liaohe River Basin is suitable for the development of corn and pollution-free vegetables.
