What is the current situation after the squall line weather raided Beijing on July 7?

It is reported that squall line weather raided Beijing, and strong winds, lightning and hail appeared in some areas.

On the night of July 7, squall line weather appeared in Beijing. The squall line moved from northwest to southeast, sweeping across Beijing. In some areas, there was a short-term gale above 9, accompanied by lightning, hail and short-term heavy rainfall. The Beijing Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for lightning, gale and hail at 20: 45 on the 7th to remind the public to take precautions.

According to meteorological monitoring, from 7 19: 00 to 22: 00, the average precipitation in the city was 6.3mm, the average in the urban area was 3mm, and the largest Yanqing Yeyahu wetland was 32.6 mm. In addition, there were hailstones in Yanqing, Changping, Huairou, Shunyi and Mentougou. Yanqing, Changping, Shunyi, Huairou, Pinggu, Haidian, Shijingshan, Mentougou and Chaoyang experienced a short-term gale of 8 to 10. The Municipal Meteorological Observatory predicts that there will be thunderstorms in the middle of the night, accompanied by short-term strong winds, heavy precipitation and hail, and the south will turn to the north wind 1 and Grade 2.

Li Xun, a senior engineer of Beijing Meteorological Service Center, told the media that the squall line was a strong convective weather, which was formed by many thunderstorm cell (including several supercells) arranged horizontally. Different from the general severe convective weather, the squall line is not a single cloud, but a narrow cloud belt formed by many thunderstorm cell, which is half a kilometer to dozens of kilometers wide and dozens to hundreds of kilometers long. Severe weather such as thunderstorm, rainstorm, strong wind, hail and tornado can occur along the squall line.
