Historical weather in Israel
In the mysterious and controversial Middle East, Jordan is like an oasis in the desert. Even though Jordan has been attracting tourists from all over the world with an open attitude, most people still know little about this place.
I have been to Jordan and found that the people here are actually very warm and friendly, and it is convenient to go in and out. Because there is basically no heavy industry, the sky here is clean and bright as a knife, and the sunset here may be one of the most beautiful in the world. It has the most breathtaking natural and cultural landscapes in the world-including Petra, the ancient city of roses, which ranks among the seven wonders of the world, Wadi Lahm, the place most like an alien galaxy on earth, the world-famous Dead Sea, the colorful Red Sea and countless magnificent canyons. ...
During this trip to Jordan, I saw the vast desert, the mysterious ancient city and the most special sea. I saw a modern metropolis and the most devout believers; Feel the blend of various cultures and the most advanced technology; After listening to the ancient history and the most magical story ... the lack of natural resources has restricted Jordan's economic development. Poverty is indeed the first impression of this country, but as the back garden for Europeans to explore on foot and travel outdoors, Jordan, which is rich in tourism resources, brings tourists surprises that you will never forget. If there is enough time in the future, in fact, I want to go to Jordan again, take my best friend, do a good job in raiders, feel the mysterious Arab world in detail, and look for an ancient city lost for thousands of years in the boundless red desert.
Escape from the ancient city of Petra
Petra is an ancient city in Jordan, an absolute punching place in Jordan and the main destination of our trip. It is located 250 kilometers south of Amman, the capital of Jordan, and is hidden in a narrow canyon connecting the Dead Sea and the Aqaba Strait. This is an ancient city carved almost entirely from rocks. The rocks are reddish like coral gems and shine in the sun. The special landform makes it present beautiful colors, so it is also called "the ancient city of roses". Petra was the kingdom capital of Nabatai, an Arab tribe in the 6th century BC, and it flourished in 1 century BC. In A.D. 106, it was captured by the Roman army and became a province of the Roman Empire, so we can still see many common buildings in ancient Roman culture. Since the 3rd century, Petra began to decline due to the rise of the Red Sea trade route instead of the land trade route. When conquered by the Arab army in the 7th century, it was an abandoned empty city. It was not until 18 12 that it was rediscovered by Swiss travelers.
Since 18 12, many historical sites have been discovered, most of which are carved on the rock wall of a deep valley. They are the landmark scenic spots in Jordan, the shooting places of raiders of the lost ark and Transformed king kong 2, and the shooting places of the new Hollywood blockbuster Aladdin, attracting tourists from all over the world to explore the Nabatai civilization more than 2,000 years ago every year.
Vadiram is like an alien planet.
Wadiram, also known as the Valley of the Moon, is named because its terrain is the most moon-like place on earth. Because of its unique Bedouin culture, it is recognized by UNESCO as Jordan's dual world cultural heritage of nature and humanity, and it is also the location of many Hollywood blockbusters such as Mars Rescue, Lawrence of Arabia, Red Planet and Aladdin.
The most attractive thing about Wadi Lahm is the desert experience project. To appreciate the desert landscape here, you need to take an off-road vehicle or a camel to enter. Narrow canyons, natural arches, towering cliffs, huge sand dunes and caves in the desert make people feel like they are outside the planet. Wadiram does not recommend entering by car. Book a tour guide in advance, and it is most appropriate for the tour guide to arrange the itinerary.
This is not the endless yellow desert that we usually see. There are many towering rock formations, cliffs and canyons in the vast red desert. Everything in front of me is a scene I have only seen in science fiction movies. Although the name here is Moon Valley, you will definitely feel that you have come to Mars, where the wild beauty of nature is perfectly interpreted.
The incredible mosaic city of Madaba
Madaba is a city with a history of more than 3000 years. In history, the city has changed hands many times and was once ruled by Egyptians, Jews, Greeks and Muslims. During the Byzantine period, Madaba became the seat of the regional bishop. During this period, especially in the sixth century, mosaic art flourished, and it can be seen in churches, public buildings and private houses.
After Madaba was destroyed by the earthquake in 747 AD, the city sank and fell asleep 1000 years. It was not until 1 880 that 2000 Christians from Clark settled here and began to rebuild the city. It was when they rebuilt St. George's Orthodox Church in 1896 that they discovered the famous Byzantine map of the Middle East.
When I visited St. George's Church, I was almost forbidden to enter because I was wearing shorts. Fortunately, there are special service personnel at the entrance of the church. They will lend their robes to tourists and wrap them around their bodies.
Mount Nebo commemorates the Prophet Moses.
Mount Nipo is a sacred place shared by Christians, Jews and Muslims. It is said that Moses saw the promised land here. The observation deck at the top of the mountain overlooks the whole Jordan Valley. It is said that if the weather is good enough, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho and other places can be seen at a glance.
According to section 34 of the Bible, Moses, the founder of Judaism, spent his last days here and ascended to heaven here. Moses is an important figure after Christianity relayed God and Jesus, and also one of the six messengers of Islam. Moses' name in Islam is "Musa".
On Mount Nipo stands a huge steel snake-shaped cross, symbolizing the scepter of Moses. It was built by Ghianni Fantaoni of Florence in 1984. This walking stick with a snake symbolizes the miracle that God showed Moses. Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt with this walking stick, split the Red Sea with this walking stick, and saved the thirsty Israelites wandering in the wilderness with this walking stick.
Aqaba, a small town in the Red Sea, has the sea besides the desert.
Besides the desert, Jordan has the most beautiful sea. The Red Sea in Aqaba, southern Jordan, has a mild climate and gentle current, which provides a good living environment for corals and marine life. There are 1200 kinds of fish and 500 kinds of corals here. The water temperature is suitable for diving all year round. Because of the sunshine, it is allowed to dive to the depth of150m. Abandoned ships and tanks that sank to the bottom of the sea also provided exciting destinations for divers.
In the Red Sea of Jordan, you can see Egypt on the opposite side and Saudi Arabia on the border. A friend wants to send a circle of friends, only to find that he can actually locate Egypt!
Floating in the Dead Sea Experience the pleasure of floating at the lowest point in the world.
The Dead Sea lies between Israel and Jordan, 76 kilometers long and 5- 16 kilometers wide. It is the lowest point of land on the earth's surface, about 420 meters below sea level. Because of the high salinity, there is no life in it, so it is called the Dead Sea. Sea water has a large proportion, so people will not sink in it. Seawater contains a variety of minerals and is a natural spa place. Dead Sea Mud is a world-famous skin care product.
Floating on the surface of the Dead Sea, letting the skin absorb the healthy nutrition in the water, or enjoying the ancient treatment of the Dead Sea-mud bath, are all unique experiences in Jordan.
Because of the schedule, floating in the Dead Sea is the last stop of Jordan's trip, and the next stop will be Jerusalem. I always feel that the time of this trip has passed too fast, and I have been in a state of violence and have not stopped to feel it. Fortunately, I have gained a lot. When I return to Jordan again, I can make my trip slower and stay longer. In addition to natural and historical sites, I should also experience traditional Arab culture, exquisite Mediterranean diet and the living conditions of modern Arabs more deeply. ...
