China's first weather program.

China TV Meteorological Service celebrated its 25th anniversary on the 3rd. From 198 1, China Meteorological Bureau cooperated with CCTV to launch the first China TV weather forecast program. Up to now, TV weather service has covered eight channels of CCTV, as well as tourism channel, Chinese channel, information channel, European channel, American channel and Qinghai Satellite TV in China. The daily viewing population of meteorological programs reached 654.38+0 billion.

"Meteorological information, as the basic information of human production and life, has extensive and direct application value." Qin Dahe, director of China Meteorological Bureau, said at the commemorative ceremony that since 1950s, weather forecasts have been released to the public through broadcasting. With the deepening of reform and opening up and the development of social economy, the TV meteorological service has been developing continuously and has gone through 25 years of innovative development:

In the 1980s, the TV weather forecast program independently produced by the meteorological department was officially broadcast to the public on CCTV.

On March 1993 and 1, the weather program host stepped onto the silver screen for the first time, and "Mr. Meteor" and "Miss Meteor" gradually became familiar public figures to the audience. Urban weather forecast, marine weather forecast and meteorological agricultural conditions are added to the program, and three-dimensional weather symbols, weather maps, satellite cloud pictures and landscape maps are introduced. This major change has brought China's TV weather forecast programs into line with international standards.

In August 2002, Huafeng Meteorological Film and Television Information Group Company of China Meteorological Bureau was formally established.

In 2004, Huafeng Group cooperated with China People's Broadcasting Station Economic Channel and Phoenix Satellite TV respectively to launch live meteorological information service, and produced and broadcast weather forecast programs on four channels of Phoenix Satellite TV.

On February 16, 2006, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television officially approved China Weather TV, and the first professional weather TV channel in China was about to be born.

Qin Dahe said that at present, CCTV's "Weather Forecast" program ranks first in the ratings list of national TV programs after "News Network".
