Ten Plants for Predicting the Weather

The ten plants that forecast the weather are: pumpkin vine, mimosa, Artemisia scoparia, moss, willow, Guizijiang, Ligustrum lucidum, Yulan, chestnut and pine cone.

1, pumpkin vine

If the top of the pumpkin vine is facing down, it means it is sunny, and if the top of the pumpkin vine is facing up, it means it is raining.

2. mimosa

As we all know, if you touch mimosa with your hands, the leaves will shrink. If the contraction is slow, it indicates that it will rain. If they meet soon after touching, it indicates a clear sky in Wan Li.

3. Artemisia scoparia

Artemisia scoparia is a plant with strong drought tolerance. In the dry weather where it doesn't rain for a long time, if there are many tender white buds on the roots of Artemisia selengensis, it indicates that it will rain soon.

4.moss

Before the heavy rain comes, the moss at the bottom of the pond will surface because of the sudden drop of temperature and the decrease of water pressure.

5. Willow

Willow leaves turn white, which indicates that rain is coming.

6. Guizijiang

Guizijiang can accurately predict the first frost, which will fall about 10 days before flowering to remind people to prevent frost and freeze.

7. Ligustrum lucidum

There are no leaves or few leaves in autumn, just like entering a dormant period, which indicates that it will be rainy in the next 2~3 months.

8. Yulan

From July to September, whenever the storm passes, Yulan will be in full bloom.

9.chestnut tree

Chestnut trees will sprout several weeks in advance before the arrival of frost and snow in winter.

10, pinecone

Before the rainy day comes, the scales of pine cones will shrink because of the high air humidity. When the scales of pine cones open, it indicates that the air is dry and the weather will turn from rainy to sunny.
