How big is the impact of Typhoon Tian Ge on Guangdong?

Typhoon No.20 17 13 made landfall in Jinwan District of Zhuhai at 2: 50 on August 23rd, 2017. When landing, the maximum wind force near the typhoon was 45 m/s (14), and many cities in Guangdong stopped work and classes, including Shenzhen and Zhuhai. Jiangmen implements "stop production", "suspend classes" and "stop work" throughout the city.

Typhoon red warning

The Central Meteorological Observatory issued the first typhoon red warning this year at 6 am on August 23rd. This year's No.1 13 typhoon "Tian Ge" landed in the coastal area from Zhuhai to Yangjiang, Guangdong around noon today, and there will be strong winds and heavy rain in the nearby area.

Affected by the Tian Ge, there will be strong winds of 7-9 in the northern South China Sea, Taiwan Province Strait, Qiongzhou Strait, Beibu Gulf and coastal areas such as Guangdong, Fujian, Qiong and Guangxi, and there will be strong winds of11-kloc-0/3 near the Pearl River Estuary. The winds in the nearby sea area or area where the Tian Ge Center passes are 14- 15, and the gusts can reach 16- 17.

There are heavy rains in parts of the coastal areas of central Guangdong and southeastern Fujian, with local heavy rains (100 ~ 159mm), rainfall in eastern Taiwan Province Province 100 ~ 200mm, and 250 ~ 444mm in Hualien, Taitung and Pingtung.
