Fangcheng County, Nanyang City, Henan Province

Fangcheng County is located in the south of Henan Province, in the northeast corner of Nanyang Basin, at the foot of Funiu Mountain and in the upper reaches of Tangbai River. It borders Wugang and Biyang counties in the east, Sheqi county and Wancheng district in the south, nanzhao county city in the west and Lushan county and Yexian county in the north, which is the north gate of Nanyang city. The county is 72 kilometers long from east to west and 6 1 km wide from north to south, with a total area of 2,542 square kilometers.

Fangcheng, known as the "Five Boundaries and One Mouth", is located on five natural boundaries: North Subtropical Zone and South Warm Temperate Zone, Yangtze River Basin and Huaihe River Basin, Nanyang Basin and Huanghuaihai Plain, Funiu Mountain Range and Tongbai Mountain Range, North China Platform and Qinling Geosyncline. The northeast of Fangcheng is one of the nine passes in China. Fangcheng folk art has a long history. Huangshi inkstone is one of the five famous inkstones in China, and it is a well-known research treasure. It was founded in Han Dynasty and flourished in Song Dynasty. With exquisite carving, it shines in today's world, which can be said to be a must. Ancient great calligraphers Mi Fei and Huang Tingjian, and contemporary great calligrapher Qi Gong all splashed ink and spoke highly of it. 1993, Fangcheng Huangshi inkstone won the gold medal in the International China Calligraphy and Painting Expo; 1994 participated in the national famous inkstone exhibition and won two gold medals in stone and craft; 1995 was listed as a brand-name product by the Ministry of light industry and as a national gift for international friends. This is the largest world-class super-large rutile deposit in China. 29 kinds of minerals have been discovered in the county, with proven reserves of 10. The main minerals are metallic minerals such as gold, silver, lead, zinc, aluminum and titanium, and nonmetallic minerals such as fluorite, talc, potash feldspar, dolomite, silica, marble, granite, limestone and barite. Among them, Fangcheng is located in the main section of the largest world-class extra-large rutile deposit recently discovered in China. The rutile ore belt in China is 30 kilometers long with a total area of about 60 square kilometers. It is predicted that the prospective weathering crust (Joe) rutile resources will reach 6.5438+0.239 million tons, the primary ore resources will reach 44.87 million tons, and the total resources will reach 57.26 million tons, which is equivalent to the scale of 500 large rutile deposits. In addition, dolomite reserves are 300 million tons, talc reserves are 80 million tons, and fluorite reserves are 65.438+million tons, all of which are one of the large-scale deposits in China.
